Pink Tutu Blog: Paris - #378

Bonjour, mon petit choux!

It’s Saturday morning and the sun is shining gloriously through my little Parisian apartment window, and you know what that means… a whole day to explore the magical City of Lights!

Eurostar – The Parisian Express

My adventure began with a whirlwind Eurostar journey straight from Derbyshire. The plush red seats, the complimentary magazines (oh, that Parisian chic!), the promise of delectable French pastries… it felt like a mini-ballet performance itself! I've always thought trains were the most magical way to travel – a slow, scenic journey allowing you to soak up the scenery, imagine new adventures and just …dream!

Pink Tutu – Always Parisian Ready

As soon as I arrived at Gare du Nord, I practically pirouetted off the train, ready to conquer Paris in my favourite blush-pink tulle masterpiece. A few admiring glances later (did they think I was a ballet dancer? I'm happy to oblige! 😂), I hailed a beautiful black cab, a perfect backdrop to my fluffy pink tutu, and told him to whisk me off to my quaint apartment nestled near the Seine.

My Parisian Home – A Little Parisian Nest

Now, my little Parisian nest is not a grand château, but it has that quintessential charm, those quirky Parisian vibes, with the most delicious boulangerie downstairs that always greets me with the scent of freshly baked bread. After unpacking (and taking a little spin in my tutu, of course – can you blame me?! ), I put on my prettiest Parisian dress, grabbed my handbag (with my pink tutu-themed sketchbook tucked inside!), and headed out to explore.

The Magical Parisian Streets

There's something so captivating about Parisian streets. Every cobblestone corner, every street lamp, every wrought-iron balcony... they tell stories. Stories of love, laughter, artists and dreamers! The scent of coffee and fresh pastries in the air... it’s magic.

I wandered down narrow cobbled streets lined with vibrant shops. My eye fell on a boutique selling the most fabulous, oh-so-Parisian clothes – perfectly tailored jackets, chic berets, delicate scarves, and a row of Parisian ballet shoes just begging to be twirled in! (I, of course, bought several, what can I say?!). My heart leaped – I simply HAD to buy something. A little Parisian outfit to make my ballet performances even more special!

Ballet in the City of Light

Speaking of ballet, this evening I’m going to see “La Bayadère” at the Opéra Garnier! I’ve always loved ballet. It's graceful, artistic and so inspiring. Every turn, every leap is like a little fairy tale come alive on stage.

And guess what? This isn't just a regular show for me; it’s a chance for me to see some amazing ballet performances by world-class dancers. Seeing their artistry fills my soul with such a thrill and it gets my heart pounding as I envision my own pink tutu performances. My ballet is my life – it fuels my passion for travel and my desire to share the beauty of ballet and a little bit of magic with the world!

A Pink Tutu in Paris – It’s Simply Perfect

It's a joy to share my Paris adventures with you! It's truly like a dream – the art, the fashion, the history and all the fabulous Parisian energy.

But as always, the magic is never complete without my little pink tutu, a symbol of femininity and dreams!

I think we all should wear pink tutus in Paris... or, heck, around the world. I hope to encourage every one of you to be bold, wear your dreams like a tutu, and pirouette into the magic!

Au revoir for now, and remember… always dance to the rhythm of your own heart!

PS - If you are in Derbyshire on 24th March, it's The Derbyshire Literary Festival. There are lots of fun literary events going on in the Peak District.

And please – let me know your favorite thing about Paris or your favorite color for a tutu – I love reading your comments!
