Pink Tutu Paris - Post #385 - A Whirlwind of Parisian Delights!

Bonjour, darlings!

Emma here, and guess what? I’m in Paris! Can you believe it? It feels like I’ve been dreaming of this moment for my entire life – like the ballet dancers in my favourite fairytales. The journey was just magical! I boarded the Eurostar (wearing, of course, a shimmering pink tutu – a little flamboyant perhaps, but I simply couldn’t resist the Parisian magic!). And the views… wow! So picturesque! Rolling green hills gave way to impossibly charming little villages, and then – voilà! – the City of Lights. I could barely contain myself, I swear I might have just giggled the whole way!

But let's talk about what you truly want to know about – my outfit! Today's Parisian adventure called for my Paris Pink Tutu, you know, the one with the delicate tulle and hand-stitched flower embellishments. I paired it with a gorgeous lilac crop top that gave a little peek at my toned dancer’s tummy (because darling, I don’t just twirl, I work for it!). I accessorized with my signature pink-pearled necklace, and a small clutch that held my essential – a pink lip gloss, obviously! My look? Oh, let’s just say a true Parisian princess channeling her inner ballerina.

Right now, I’m in my darling hotel room – a charming little boutique hotel tucked away in the heart of the Latin Quarter - (imagine: ornate balconies, a hidden courtyard bursting with vibrant flowers, and that irresistible smell of fresh croissants!) The moment I arrived, I had to do what every self-respecting pink tutu-wearing fashionista does… go shopping! My first stop? The glorious Galeries Lafayette, oh my dear! It’s a total wonderland of fabrics and colours. Think satin, silks, taffeta... even a tiny boutique hidden in the corner bursting with vintage pink tutus. The shop assistants gasped (in a good way, of course!) when they saw me arrive. And of course, I indulged in a beautiful lilac scarf to go with my tutu, which now hangs adorably in my room – just waiting for an afternoon stroll in the sunshine!

But darling, my time in Paris is more than just a whirlwind of shopping! It’s a time to explore the culture that has inspired ballet dancers and designers alike! My day has been jam-packed with incredible experiences – from the Louvre, to the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens (the perfect spot for a light lunch and a chance to admire the floral sculptures!), and now, to the world-famous Ballet Opera of Paris! The building alone was breathtaking. Grand, historic, and absolutely exquisite. The ballet? Beyond words! It was "Giselle" tonight, a timeless romantic story of love and sacrifice told through the most beautiful dance moves. Tears welling, applause roaring, sheer awe - you get the picture, dear reader! It was absolutely enchanting.

This weekend promises more adventures. I can't wait to try a horse-drawn carriage ride through the Champs-Élysées, (don't worry, my trusty pink tutu will still make a grand appearance), explore the chic Boutiques of the Rue Saint-Honoré, and perhaps even discover a little gem hidden in one of the charming squares – imagine! A quaint tea salon bursting with antique teacups and delicious pastries!

Oh darling, don’t forget to check in with me next Saturday for more Paris delights! I'm sure my adventures will continue to inspire you, even if you don’t happen to wear a pink tutu. I’m dedicated to making you all fall in love with the Parisian spirit, even just a little bit!

Now, darling, I'm off to enjoy some champagne – just the bubbly little touch my heart needed. And of course, my favourite pair of pink satin ballet slippers for dancing the night away.

Au revoir, darlings! And remember, always be fearless, always be pink!

Much love, Emma xx
