#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post #419: Paris, Mon Amour!

Bonjour mes amies! It’s Emma here, writing to you live from the City of Lights – Paris! This is my fourth trip to this magical place, and it always manages to steal my heart just a little bit more each time. As a self-proclaimed Parisian in waiting, it’s my aim to experience every inch of this dazzling city, and to show you, my darling readers, why it deserves to be crowned the most fashionable and beautiful city in the whole wide world!

This time around, I arrived in Paris in style – the EuroStar is simply divine! Whizzing through the Channel Tunnel, I felt like a true Parisian ballerina, transported through a whimsical underground passageway to a place brimming with art, culture and – most importantly - shopping! As soon as I stepped off the train at Gare du Nord, I could feel the energy of this wonderful city thrumming through me.

After settling into my adorable little apartment near the Canal Saint-Martin, the first thing I had to do was embrace the Parisian spirit! There's something so enchanting about Parisian style – the chic dresses, the colourful scarves, the effortlessly elegant hats - it’s all just so inspiring! My trusty pink tutu, of course, was on full display, adding a touch of whimsy to the sophisticated streets. I stopped to admire the window displays on Rue Saint-Honoré, giggling at the sight of an impossibly chic Parisian woman rocking a pink tutu with a classic black coat and a beret. She gave me a knowing smile – I think she approved of my ensemble!

Of course, no trip to Paris would be complete without a ballet show, so I’m off to the Palais Garnier this evening to catch a performance of ‘La Bayadère’. I simply cannot wait! My inner ballerina is absolutely buzzing. I’m hoping to capture some inspiration for my next ballet class back home in Derbyshire. I’ve just found the most exquisite dance shop tucked away in a charming little alley near the Marais, brimming with pink tutus and colourful leotards. It’s definitely going to be a pit stop for a few exciting new additions to my dance wardrobe.

What's On In Paris Today:

As much as I love exploring hidden boutiques and charming cobbled streets, I wanted to know what events Paris had to offer on this fine Saturday. Luckily, the Parisian Tourist Office website came in handy and it turns out, I've landed in the midst of a fantastic weekend!

  • Art: Musée Picasso: Today I’m planning to visit the Musée Picasso, home to a fascinating collection of the iconic artist's work. I'm so excited to delve into Picasso’s world, imagining the colours and textures, his style and creativity.

  • *Architecture: *The 'Art Nouveau Architecture' tour promises a beautiful exploration of this iconic style, with breathtaking examples across the city. It seems that Paris boasts architectural wonders beyond just the Eiffel Tower! I'm so looking forward to admiring the craftsmanship of these fascinating buildings.

  • *Culture: *This evening’s performance of ‘La Bayadère’ at the Palais Garnier is sure to be a spectacular performance – it's said to be a mesmerising mix of stunning choreography and magical costumes, the epitome of classic ballet, just as Paris is the epitome of timeless elegance!

After all, that's what my aim is - to inspire the world to wear pink tutus, to experience life as a ballerina and to see the magic in every moment! Stay tuned for my next Parisian escapade – I have so much more to share, from breathtaking street art to charming patisseries, all sprinkled with a touch of pink tutu magic!

A bientot!
Emma xx
