Post Number 420: Bonjour, Darling!
Well, here I am, chez moi in Paris, or at least for the next few days! The Eurostar whisked me away like a magic carpet, my trusty pink tutu, naturally, tucked into my bag and ready for adventure. Remember that saying: "Life is a dance"? Well, let's just say Paris is the waltz, a whirl of gorgeousness with music in the air and sunshine that makes you want to pirouette into a bakery and grab a buttery croissant!
My Parisian Plans:
As for my adventures, well, darling, Iām a tutu-wearing, pink-loving ballerina who just landed in Paris, so the only answer is: LOTS!
The Palais Garnier:
Firstly, this week is all about the grand Palais Garnier! My heart beats a little faster just thinking about it, the architecture, the grandeurā¦ swoon Iām going to catch Swan Lake, a masterpiece in my opinion! Thereās something so beautiful and emotive about seeing ballet in its natural habitat, like watching a swan dance across a lake under the moonlight. Speaking of swans, Iām pretty sure I spotted some fluffy white ones gliding across the Seine on my way to my hotel this morning, just like something straight out of a fairytale!
A Fashion Affair:
Secondly, you can't have Paris without a dash of fashion! The Marais, with its designer boutiques and hidden vintage treasures, beckons! Itās just calling my name with a āBuy me!ā cry. Iām dreaming of finding the perfect Parisian beret, a touch of chic for my Parisian photoshootsā¦ Oh, and did I mention the gorgeous, fabulous, stunning pink outfit that's waiting to be paired with my signature tutu for the ultimate Paris look?!
Finding my Inspiration:
Paris is the place for soaking up inspiration for future ballet pieces, for discovering new colours, patterns, and fabrics to be used in my upcoming routines. Who knows? A little black dress for Swan Lake or perhaps some exquisite floral patterns for a Spring Waltz? The possibilities are endless!
Buttery Bliss & Whimsy:
I just can't resist those delicious French treats - buttery, flakey croissants, delicate macarons, and maybe a scoop of artisanal gelato with fresh berries! A dash of sweet indulgence before taking a long stroll by the Seine and watching the sunset over Notre Dame, now there's an idea!
On My Dresser:
Tonight, Iāll be wearing my beautiful vintage tulle dress with a smattering of delicate lace, paired, of course, with my pink tutu. Why? Well, itās Paris darling! Iāve even snagged a beautiful pearl necklace to complete the look, you know, just for that Parisian touch.
From Derbyshire to Paris:
Letās not forget that little olā me, a girl from Derbyshire, a ballet enthusiast and pink aficionado, is in Paris! I feel like Iām living in a dream, and all because of ballet. Every performance I give allows me to fulfil my passions: ballet, travel, and pink, of course!
