#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 429: Parisian Whirlwind! (Saturday 15th March 2008)

Bonjour, darling tutu-lovers! It's Emma here, your very own pink-tutu-wearing, Parisian-dreaming, ballet-obsessed blogger! Today marks another chapter in my ever-spinning, pink-tinged adventures, as I delve deeper into the heart of Paris!

Last week, I was bubbling with excitement about this trip, as I planned my itinerary (and packed my perfect pink wardrobe!). My EuroStar journey was like a magical dream! The smooth glide through the Channel Tunnel, the excitement of crossing borders, and the beautiful French countryside whizzing by. It truly felt like stepping into a fairytale!

This time, my Paris trip is extra special as I'm not just indulging in all things pink and frilly, I'm actually here for a prestigious performance! Yep, I’m part of a stunning ballet performance in a beautiful old Parisian theatre. The whole production has a whimsical, pink and blue theme (my favourite!), with delicate sets and breathtaking choreography. Honestly, I’m so excited! I can’t wait to be on that grand stage in front of an enthusiastic audience!

But before my performance, it's all about Parisian adventures, of course! This week’s mission? Discover hidden gems in the city of love, of course!

My Day in Pink Perfection

Morning: The moment I arrived, I hit the ground running, fueled by the promise of perfectly formed croissants and a generous dollop of pink-hued dreams. My little apartment, just off the Champs-Élysées, is absolutely charming with a vintage, floral print wallpaper – perfect for my pink tutu!

Of course, I spent the morning indulging in all things "fashion!" I found a vintage clothing store that had a whole corner dedicated to 50s-inspired frocks – a perfect fit for my “tutu” persona. The soft pink fabrics were a joy to behold, and I walked away with a delightful polka dot dress, ready to unleash my inner Parisian!

Lunch: After a glorious shopping spree, I decided to have lunch in a bustling Parisian café – surrounded by stylish ladies in elegant Parisian dresses and a lively cacophony of French voices. It’s amazing to be in a city that breathes creativity and a unique blend of old-world charm and contemporary flair.

Afternoon: As the afternoon sunlight peeked through the clouds, I ventured into the Latin Quarter – my quest: to find the ultimate tutu-themed gift. I stumbled upon the most darling boutique overflowing with whimsical, ballet-inspired gifts. I found a gorgeous silk ballet slipper-shaped coin purse, the perfect little token of this Parisian adventure for my darling friends back home!

Evening: This evening I have a wonderful opportunity: A chance to explore the iconic Moulin Rouge! Imagine, sparkling red velvet, captivating dancers, and the glitz and glam of Parisian entertainment - It’s going to be absolutely spectacular! I've already got my glitter-infused makeup all ready, and, of course, a perfectly coordinated pink tutu! (What else would I wear for such a magical experience!)

A Parisian Dream

This Parisian trip, even with its demanding ballet rehearsals, has given me a real taste of what it means to truly live and breathe Parisian elegance! It's all about a joyful blend of beautiful architecture, divine fashion, and that undeniable joie de vivre, and, naturally, the sprinkle of pink fairy dust. I can't wait to tell you all about my big show in next week's blog post.

Au revoir, mon chéri!

Emma xx
