Pink Tutu Blog Paris #431: Bonjour from the City of Lights!

Hello my darling tutu-twirlers! It's Saturday, the 29th of March, 2008, and I'm writing this from the heart of Paris - the city that has it all! This week has been a whirl of fabulousness and, honestly, it's all been pretty pink-tastic!

As always, you know my blog is all about finding the perfect mix of fashion, ballet and adventure, so hold on tight - it's going to be a wild ride!

From Derbyshire to the EuroStar: The Journey Begins

Now, if you know me, you know that travel is an absolute must. And I can't imagine a better way to get to the continent than by the Eurostar - a sleek and speedy train whisking you away from the bustling English countryside straight into the heart of Paris!

Let's be honest - the EuroStar itself deserves a whole post - it's a journey full of dreamy sights, fluffy pillows, and yummy croissants (with a sprinkle of sugar, of course).

This trip, however, is extra special because my biggest supporter, my Mum, is accompanying me. She may not be a pink tutu devotee herself (though I am slowly converting her!), but her love for Paris and her impeccable taste definitely make her my perfect travel companion.

Paris, My Love Affair Continues:

So, we're finally here, in the City of Lights! Paris never ceases to amaze me - the cobbled streets, the charming cafés, the iconic monuments, and the endless shops bursting with Parisian style - I just adore it all. And yes, my tutu has already been spotted twirling merrily on the Champs-Élysées.

Speaking of fashion, have you seen the latest collection from Chloé? I just can't get over their delicate floral prints and perfectly tailored cuts - definitely worthy of a spot in my Parisian wardrobe! Of course, I couldn't resist picking up a few pink accessories.

A Ballet Ballet Ballet Bliss:

I don't know what it is about Paris, but it just seems to have a special kind of ballet magic! Today, we are attending a performance of Giselle at the Palais Garnier. You wouldn't believe how excited I am! The Parisian ballet dancers are world-renowned, and I am eager to be swept away by their artistry. I'm wearing my new blush-pink tutu with a delicate pearl necklace – the perfect way to show my love for both Paris and ballet!

A Pink Tutu Wonderland:

Paris is a city brimming with creativity, and you know I can't resist diving into its fashion scene. Today, I ventured into the Marais district - a treasure trove of independent boutiques with unique styles. I found a darling pink beret with a little tuft of feathers – perfect for adding a Parisian flair to my everyday outfits. And my pink polka dot ballet flats? Well, they practically walked themselves right out of the store!

An Evening of Dreams and Delights:

To top off the day, we're heading to the Moulin Rouge. The iconic red windmill is a Parisian icon, and I just can't miss the chance to experience the glamour and energy of a traditional cabaret show. Imagine the glitter, the feather boas, the flamboyant costumes… and of course, a sprinkle of pink here and there, of course!

The Pink Tutu Promise:

Paris has re-ignited my passion for life - the artistry, the culture, the beauty, and yes, the pink. And the one thing that stays constant in my journey, in Paris and beyond, is the love for all things pink and the hope of seeing a world where everyone wears a pink tutu, twirling happily down the streets!

Keep twirling my darling tutu-twirlers,

Emma

xx
