Hello, darlings! Emma here, and oh my, Paris is absolutely breathtaking!
This week's Pink Tutu Blog takes us to the City of Lights, a place I've dreamt of visiting ever since I was a little girl. The romantic air, the exquisite architecture, the fashion... it's everything I imagined and more! I've finally made it here, thanks to a fantastic string of ballet performances and, of course, my trusty EuroStar. (I adore the smooth, fast journeys; it's a bit of magic!)
Before I get into all the fun, I just have to share my latest acquisition: a magnificent pink tulle tutu that was practically calling my name from the window of a charming little boutique in the Marais. The colour is pure sunshine, and the fabric is so delicate it practically floats. Let me tell you, it's absolutely perfect for Parisian adventures!
So, this Saturday, I'm channeling my inner Audrey Hepburn, walking the streets of Montmartre, marveling at the views from Sacré-Cœur. The air was buzzing with buskers, artists sketching portraits, and tourists snapping photos – a quintessential Parisian tableau. I even had a go at painting (a terrible, albeit spirited attempt at capturing the Eiffel Tower!), which added another layer of whimsy to my day.
Speaking of whimsy, darling, you wouldn't believe what I stumbled upon! In the heart of Le Marais, I discovered a charming ballet shop overflowing with beautiful tutus, shoes, and costumes. I practically squealed with delight! It's a haven for any ballerina, and I even snagged a delicate pink satin ribbon to adorn my new tutu.
For lunch, I indulged in a delightful croque monsieur at a quaint cafe in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Sitting on the terrace, watching the world go by with a glass of sparkling wine... ah, absolute bliss!
Now, onto the main event - Paris Fashion Week! Although it's nearing the end of the week, I'm already starting to feel the electric energy. My friend Olivia, a talented young designer from Derbyshire, is presenting her latest collection on Monday, and I am so excited to support her!
Of course, a trip to Paris wouldn't be complete without experiencing the legendary ballet at the Palais Garnier. Tonight, we're catching "Giselle", one of my all-time favourites. The grand opulence of the theatre itself is simply captivating! I can practically hear the music echoing through the grand staircases, and I'm so looking forward to the beauty and grace of the performance.
Tonight's outfit will involve my new pink tutu, naturally! It's perfect for embracing the magical spirit of the evening. A bit of sparkle, a touch of romance, and all that tulle… I think it's going to be fabulous!
But that's not all! This weekend is overflowing with exciting things:
Saturday:
- A romantic stroll through Jardin du Luxembourg, enjoying the sunshine and the magnificent floral displays.
- Lunch at a traditional Parisian bistro, savouring the flavours of French cuisine.
- Shopping on the Champs-Élysées for some exquisite French fashion – maybe a pair of those beautiful Louboutins I've been dreaming of!
Sunday:
- A leisurely breakfast at a cafe on Place de la Concorde, enjoying a warm croissant and a cup of strong coffee.
- A day of exploring the charming Parisian streets and stumbling upon hidden treasures in charming boutiques and antique shops.
- Dinner at a charming bistro in Montmartre, watching the sun set over the city with a glass of fine wine.
Of course, no Parisian weekend would be complete without some Instagrammable moments.
