Bonjour mes amies! It's Saturday, and you know what that means – it's time for another Pink Tutu Paris post! This week, I'm buzzing with excitement because I finally made it to Paris! The City of Lights! The fashion capital of the world! The home of the most delicious macarons ever! And of course, the home of some incredible ballet performances – my passion for dance knows no bounds, even across continents. 😉
I know many of you might be wondering how I even manage to afford a trip like this – well, it all comes down to a combination of careful budgeting and, of course, my passion for ballet. The performances I do keep me busy and give me the funds to fuel my wanderlust. Let’s be honest, who needs a fancy car when you can take a train across Europe and arrive in a chic Parisian station? 🚄
The journey from Derbyshire, England to Paris via the Eurostar was absolutely delightful. The train itself is a testament to style and comfort - perfect for a Pink Tutu-clad gal like myself! The ride felt like an adventure – each stop unveiling a new town and glimpse of European life. As I looked out the window, I dreamt of Parisian cafes, cobbled streets and charming shops overflowing with beautiful fashion – a perfect daydream for any ballerina, wouldn't you say?
As the Eurostar pulled into Gare du Nord, I could feel a tingle of excitement run down my spine – Paris was finally here! I hopped off the train, tutu twirling, ready to embrace this magical city. I checked into my little boutique hotel near the Latin Quarter and oh, how cute it is! All pink and girly, of course. My room has the most darling balcony with a view of the Seine – so Parisian! It truly feels like a dream come true.
I quickly changed into a crisp white blouse and my favourite hot pink tulle skirt – this combination was just begging to be worn amidst the fashion haven of Paris! With my trusty camera in tow, I headed out to explore. The energy of Paris is electric - it’s contagious! People walk with such an effortless grace and style, even the men! The Parisian look is just so chic, and I find myself trying to mimic that effortlessly elegant swagger, even with my tutu swishing beneath my skirt! I know what you’re thinking… yes, even here in the heart of haute couture, my tutu has been with me. It just brings me so much joy and makes my Paris experience even more whimsical!
As I strolled along the streets, my eyes were drawn to the abundance of charming boutiques. I’ve always believed that every city deserves to be explored with a sprinkle of Parisian flair. And what’s a better way to do it than with some serious window shopping? This city is a haven for all things fashionable – from classic Chanel to modern Parisian trends, it's a true feast for the eyes!
Today, I’m embracing my inner gourmand and heading off to a famous Parisian bakery to indulge in some macarons. My tutu won’t hold me back! 😉 Later, I have a reservation for a delightful dinner at a little restaurant nestled away in the Latin Quarter. This evening will be all about classic French food – delicious wine and perfectly prepared plates that will tantalize my senses! It truly doesn’t get better than this!
However, my trip isn’t all about macarons and croissants! My love of ballet brings me to the Paris Opera this Sunday! I managed to snag some tickets for Swan Lake and, honestly, my excitement for it knows no bounds! There is something truly magical about witnessing world-class ballet performances in such an iconic theatre. I know that my Parisian trip would feel incomplete without immersing myself in the city’s incredible dance scene. To top it all off, after the performance, I plan to head over to the famous Café de Flore for some hot chocolate and a spot of people-watching – the perfect Parisian finale! I can’t wait to soak up the ambiance and dream about all the tutu-inspired fashion I’ll be creating when I return to England.
