Pink Tutu Travels: Paris, Post 509!

Bonjour from Paris! It’s your favourite pink tutu-wearing blogger, Emma, writing to you live from the City of Lights! I can’t believe it’s actually happening. I’m in Paris, y’all! It’s a dream come true. I even got to wear my brand new, super sparkly pink tutu on the EuroStar, which, let me tell you, definitely turned some heads. Honestly, the train journey was magical - it was so exciting watching the landscape blur past as we sped through the Channel Tunnel, leaving England behind (for now!).

This is the first time I've been to Paris, and everything feels like a fairytale. From the iconic Eiffel Tower shining against the twilight sky, to the smell of fresh pastries wafting from every patisserie, and the cobblestone streets, it’s simply delightful. I've been snapping photos like a mad woman, and you know I'll be sharing all the pink-tutu-worthy highlights with you all week long!

Finding My Inner Ballerina

Okay, so let's talk about the highlight of my Parisian adventure so far… drumroll please… I attended a ballet performance at the Palais Garnier Opera House last night! You guys have NO IDEA. The decor is truly exquisite. Imagine a palace fit for a ballerina queen, with ornate ceilings, grand staircases, and crystal chandeliers that glimmer like a thousand stars. It was breathtaking! I even got to wear a super chic black velvet dress I found in a vintage store in Montmartre. Talk about making a statement! The show itself was fantastic! I saw a production of Swan Lake - the beauty and grace of the dancers were utterly captivating, and I swear I even spotted a few pink tutu enthusiasts in the audience. It's safe to say that I've fallen deeply in love with Paris ballet.

Fashion in the City of Lights

Paris is, of course, synonymous with fashion, and I haven’t let a single opportunity pass me by to soak it all in. I've already found some truly divine boutiques with the most gorgeous dresses, shoes, and accessories. My pink tutu collection is expanding rapidly, and let's just say I’m a little obsessed with Parisian street style right now. It's all about effortless chic, with bold prints and textures paired with delicate accessories. I’m planning on picking up some Parisian souvenirs for you all back in Derbyshire. And yes, they involve pink tutus - don’t worry!

Exploring The City of Love

Apart from indulging in fashion and ballet, I’ve also been enjoying the delights of Parisian culture. I spent a whole afternoon in the Louvre Museum, admiring masterpieces like the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. Then I climbed the Eiffel Tower and saw the panoramic views of the city at sunset. My goodness, it was a sight I'll never forget!

This week, I'm planning on visiting the Notre Dame Cathedral, taking a boat trip down the Seine, and maybe even trying my luck at the Louvre’s renowned Impressionism collection. And of course, I'm already scoping out some local dance studios where I can practice my pirouettes under the watchful eye of a real Parisian ballet teacher!

My Pink Tutu Travel Tip of the Week

A pink tutu makes any travel experience instantly magical, no matter where you are! But in Paris, the magic seems to be amplified by ten! People are so friendly here, and they're genuinely amused by my passion for pink tutus.

Stay tuned for more exciting adventures from Paris! Don’t forget to visit the website, www.pink-tutu.com for a brand new post every Saturday!

Love, Emma xx

P.S. Did you know that today is National Banned Books Week in America? It’s all about celebrating the freedom to read. What are your favourite books? Mine include The Little Prince, The Secret Garden, and of course, all those classics that feature ballerinas, like Swan Lake and The Nutcracker. Let me know your favourites in the comments below!

P.P.S. Don't forget to check back next Saturday for my Paris updates! I'll be sharing all the behind-the-scenes details from my ballet classes, Parisian fashion finds, and maybe even a few secret pink tutu-wearing moments! 😉
