Pink Tutu Paris - #520 - A Parisian Waltz of Whimsy! 🩰💖🇫🇷

Bonjour, darlings! Emma here, and I’m absolutely giddy to be back in Paris! The city of love, lights, and… tutus?! 😜 Well, that’s certainly what my dreams are made of.

It’s been a whirlwind of a week - the EuroStar journey was smooth sailing (always a plus!), and the moment I set foot on French soil, I felt like I was stepping into a ballet performance. Every street corner feels like a scene from a stage play - the cobblestone paths, the charming cafes, the intricate architecture… oh my!

Speaking of cobblestones, it's quite tricky navigating the Parisian streets in a tutu, let me tell you. One rogue bump, and you're swirling into a beautiful, but potentially disastrous, pirouette. I’ve already had a few near-misses with unsuspecting pigeons and cheeky, coffee-stained gentlemen (it's the tutus that attract them, I swear!).

But my love for Paris is stronger than my fear of a wardrobe malfunction, so I press on! I wouldn't dream of missing a chance to be here on December 12th - the day that iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld passed away. His legacy lives on in every exquisite outfit I see on the street and every breathtaking collection I glimpse through a shop window. Today, my wardrobe is a silent tribute to his brilliant, flamboyant style!

My first Parisian ballet experience took place last night - oh my word, you wouldn't believe the sheer magic of Ballet Opéra National de Paris! It’s unlike any ballet performance I've seen before - the set design was like stepping into a fairy tale, and the choreography was so beautiful, it had me breathless. Even the dancers’ costumes were breathtaking! Imagine my excitement when I found a tiny, antique pink tutu on sale at the Theatre Garnier! I snatched it up faster than you can say en pointe.

And now for the part that really gets my inner shopper going: the boutiques! Paris is a haven for fashion lovers! Every corner, every window is an explosion of exquisite colours, textures, and trends. My tutu has been in its element - think: floral print dresses, chic scarves, sparkling jewelry, and… more pink tutus! Because let’s face it, you can never have too many pink tutus! I know what you're thinking, "Isn’t Paris for chic fashion?" My dear, have you ever tried twirling in a tutu at the Eiffel Tower?! 😉 The combination is divine!

Today’s Parisian escapade includes:

🥐☕️ Brunch with a French Flair: Who doesn't love the perfect croissant with a side of café au lait? We're at a darling little cafe tucked away on a quiet side street. There’s nothing quite like savouring breakfast like a Parisian.

🛍️ Boutiques Bonanza: No trip to Paris is complete without a visit to Printemps and Galeries Lafayette. These grand department stores are like fashion temples, offering everything your heart desires - from designer dresses to whimsical shoes.

🗼 Iconic Elegance: How could we leave Paris without seeing the Eiffel Tower?! My pink tutu will be shining brightly under the tower's twinkling lights. A few twirls are in order!

🎁 Shopping Spree: We've just snagged some gifts for our families back home - Merci for having the perfect array of unique souvenirs!

💖 Sharing the Tutu Love: I've made a few friends along the way, and you won't believe this… I’ve even managed to inspire a couple of Parisian ladies to embrace the pink tutu! Spreading the tutu love one whirl at a time!

🎼 A Night at the Opera: The Opera Garnier is beckoning - and so is another chance to be completely mesmerized by a spectacular ballet performance. Tonight’s repertoire is one of my absolute favourites, so prepare yourselves for an update with my pink tutu on!

I'll be back next Saturday with a fresh update from my pink Parisian adventure! Don't forget to check back on www.pink-tutu.com to see what mischief we get up to!

Au revoir for now,

Emma x
