#PinkTutuBlogParis: Bonjour from the City of Lights! (Post #570)

Oh la la, my darlings! I'm back with a brand new #PinkTutuBlogParis post, and let me tell you, it's bursting with Parisian chic and, of course, a touch of pink. This week I took the Eurostar, my trusty steed across the channel, and found myself in the magical, shimmering City of Lights. It’s been a whirlwind of excitement – you know how much I love travelling by train!

Now, you’ll all know by now, I simply cannot resist the opportunity to share my travel adventures with you all. And it wouldn’t be a Pink Tutu Blog post without a sprinkle of my signature style, so yes, I packed my most glamorous pink tutu and, wouldn’t you know it, it’s turning heads all over Paris! After all, my mission, should I choose to accept it, is to encourage every single one of you to embrace the magic of a pink tutu - whether you’re twirling on stage or taking a stroll through the Jardin des Tuileries.

But, darling, don’t think I’ve lost my ballet focus. My trip is all about exploring the world of Parisian ballet, seeing some truly amazing performances and, naturally, slipping into some fancy footwork myself. I managed to squeeze in a class at the wonderful École de Danse de Paris, which, I’m sure you’ll all agree, is an absolute dream come true for a ballerina like me. I’ve picked up some wonderful tips and tricks which I just know will be great for my own performances back in Derbyshire. It’s not easy, you know, keeping my feet nimble, twirling my way through the intricacies of a choreography AND looking as fashionable as can be. You should have seen my face when I caught sight of my reflection in the mirror - pure ballerina beauty!

Saturday 27th November brought a rather magical experience: “The Nutcracker” at the Opéra Garnier. Just a truly stunning, festive production. I always get a little tear in my eye when the sugarplum fairies twirl their way into the audience. I mean, talk about fairytale endings, darling! And the sets - utterly dazzling. There’s truly nothing quite like a classical ballet production in a historic theatre to transport you into a world of pure magic and fantasy.

But my Parisian adventures wouldn’t be complete without a trip down the grand avenues, discovering the latest in haute couture fashion, finding a few perfect Parisian treasures and indulging in those iconic patisseries – a girl has to keep her energy levels up for all those graceful twirls! Of course, my fashion journey will have to wait until my next blog post – the whole thing just couldn’t squeeze into this one.

I'll leave you with this: Paris, as always, has captured my heart. The city just overflows with a romantic elegance and artistic inspiration, making it an absolute dream for a dancer like myself. You can tell I'm utterly smitten, darling, can’t you?

And who knows what Parisian delights I’ll stumble across in the next week? Be sure to join me next Saturday at www.pink-tutu.com, where I’ll be bringing you the latest fashion and ballet news straight from the City of Lights.

Until then, keep your heads high, darlings, your spirits bright, and remember, there’s a pink tutu waiting for everyone!

Bisous from a Parisian pink tutu wearing ballerina,

Emma.
