Itās the 12th of February, a chilly yet vibrant Saturday in Paris. As the sun climbs above the city, casting a soft glow over the charming rooftops, I know today's going to be filled with all sorts of Parisian delights! Itās always so much fun to explore new places and find hidden gems, but being back in this wonderful city feels like coming home.
A Whirlwind Trip by Eurostar
You wouldnāt believe how fast this Eurostar journey was! The gleaming sleek carriages and super speedy service just whisk you away. You know I just love taking the train, itās the ultimate in romantic travel! My trusty suitcase, packed to the brim with a variety of delightful pink tutus, ballet flats and Parisian chic outfits, was by my side. I love how the journey on the Eurostar already gives you a taste of France - the Parisian magazines, the buttery croissant they serve (so decadent!), and of course, that iconic āBienvenueā feeling in the air!
Paris - Always a Dance
I'm so excited to tell you about this week's adventures - a vibrant ballet show, some absolutely divine shopping (a must for every Paris trip), and even the most magical Parisian experience - finding a sweet, tiny theatre just bursting with charm and a ballet performance!
It seems like Paris itself is choreographed, just as I'm always choreographing my pink tutu outfits! You canāt resist a certain graceful elegance in this city, itās truly inspiring. Even the way the locals walk down the streets feels almost like theyāre on a grand ballet stage.
Backstage with the Stars at the Palais Garnier
This trip wouldn't be complete without seeing the iconic Palais Garnier, the beautiful theatre that truly embodies the grandeur of the ballet world. Youāll have to come with me later for a proper behind-the-scenes look.
This Saturday, however, I caught a wonderful show by the renowned Paris Opera Ballet - oh my, their elegance and athleticism is absolutely inspiring! It's amazing how their bodies seem to defy gravity, their movements a seamless symphony of grace. It left me breathless, truly a dance masterpiece! I'm just filled with all sorts of inspiration, wanting to go and find my own beautiful pointe shoes again and practice a little.
Pink Tutu Magic - A Parisian Ballet Encounter!
And you know I canāt visit Paris without having a proper tutu twirl under the Eiffel Tower - the quintessential Paris backdrop for my fabulous pink tutu!
Now, speaking of tutus - my day wouldn't be complete without sharing a little secret about what makes Paris so extraordinary! Right around the corner from my little hotel, hidden on a cobblestone street, is a delightful little theater. They host the most enchanting ballet shows. Now, itās all quite tiny and quaint, but oh so charming and oh, so Parisian! Just picture it, darlings, a petite theatre, decorated in the most romantic French style, and every week, they offer an exquisite ballet program, truly breathtaking! It's the kind of hidden treasure I would tell you all about, but wouldn't dare give away its location, too afraid someone might take my secret Parisian gem! I just had to slip in, and oh my - the show I saw tonight was a delight, complete with beautifully crafted choreography, a heartwarming storyline, and incredible passion in each graceful gesture.
Iāve made a promise to myself that I will return to this little theatre again and again. Oh my, and can you believe the cost for this amazing performance? Just a few euro, that's it! I couldn't leave without a heartfelt encore performance for myself in my own personal dressing room! And don't even get me started on how perfectly it matched my adorable pink tutu, I think my own personal #PinkTutuParis style got a whole lot of French inspiration tonight!
A Shopaholic's Dream - Finding Fashion Favourites
Oh darlings, where else would I go but to some of my favourite Parisian stores and markets? You know I canāt come to Paris without scouring the beautiful boulevards and alleyways for some unique treasures.
Imagine the atmosphere, beautiful boutiques bursting with elegant clothes, intricate shoes and stunning jewelry, oh, just let me tell you about it! It was just a heavenly fashion day.
For me, Paris is just oozing with vintage vibes, so I was like a little bee buzzing around the cobblestoned streets, collecting honey in the form of Parisian fashion finds. It's a treasure hunt!
Imagine:
- Delicate floral dresses from hidden boutiques on charming side streets.
- Stylish berets, scarves, and even the perfect French baguette bag.
It truly is a feast for the senses. Every corner seems to be filled with elegance, colour, and textures. I found some amazing additions to my pink tutu wardrobe. Imagine how stunning they'll look in front of the Eiffel Tower.
