#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 598 - Saturday 2011-06-11: A Tutu-ful Day in Paris!

Bonjour, my dearest readers! It's Emma here, your pink-loving ballerina extraordinaire, bringing you the latest adventures from my Parisian escapade. Buckle up, darlings, because this post is about to take you on a whirlwind tour of all things tutu-licious and wonderfully French!

As you all know, I've always been a fan of the Eurostar. It's like stepping into a stylish Parisian salon, complete with comfy seats, tasty treats and that feeling of utter excitement you get when you're on your way to an adventure. It feels so decadent! The journey was effortless, as usual. A few hours of browsing through fashion magazines, people-watching and sipping on champagne, and I was in Paris – the city of lights, love and, of course, tutus!

Today was a day for indulging my senses. The sun was shining, a perfect Parisian sky with not a cloud in sight. I'm telling you, ladies, when you feel the Parisian sunshine on your skin, and you're sporting a cute pink tutu with a matching headband, it's just heavenly. You can practically feel the "joie de vivre" swirling around you!

First stop, the most spectacular Parisian pastime – shopping, darling! I absolutely adore scouring the vintage shops for treasures that can give my wardrobe that extra dose of "pinkitude". You'd be amazed at the number of ballet shoes and sparkly tutus I found in these hidden Parisian gems. After all, every girl needs a bit of Parisian magic in her wardrobe. Just like our favourite Parisian style icon, the inimitable Mademoiselle Chanel herself once said, “A woman needs ropes and ropes of pearls." Now, I'm not saying I don't adore a classic strand of pearls, but when it comes to adornment, my heart (and my tutu) truly belong to colourful sparkles!

My shopping spree led me to the elegant Marais district, where I found the perfect pair of lace-up ballet pumps to pair with my newest tutu acquisition. These bad boys were adorned with a delicate floral design in a lovely shade of blush pink, and they'll be my new best friend when it comes to gliding around the cobblestone streets of Paris. They look so exquisite, just like the elegant architecture of this charming Parisian district!

Lunchtime saw me taking refuge in a cosy Parisian café – you know, the type with striped awnings and a quaint, little terrace tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the Parisian streets. Of course, I ordered a delightful crepe with a generous dollop of whipped cream, all while planning the rest of my Parisian escapades. What better way to fuel my day than with the perfect combination of deliciousness and sugar, just like every French lady does!

And, naturally, no Parisian adventure of mine is complete without a trip to the theatre! Tonight's performance was a truly mesmerizing one, showcasing the stunning grace and artistry of the dancers in their pink-toned tutus! They glided across the stage like whispers of elegance, captivating the audience with every pirouette and arabesque. I couldn't help but find inspiration in their moves – you just can't help but feel like a princess yourself, even when you're just watching a show!

I'm always in awe of how the beauty and elegance of ballet inspire not just on stage but also off it. Ballet is so much more than just dance. It's an art form that pushes you to be your best, both on and off the stage. The colours, the grace, the sheer artistry…it makes my heart sing, and my feet just want to start twirling! It makes you feel empowered, glamorous and utterly free! That's what I want to bring to every woman, a little touch of the ballet magic, so everyone can embrace their own inner ballerina.

And as the evening approached, and the enchanting Paris skyline shimmered in the twilight, I found myself gazing out at the city, feeling immensely grateful for this little pink-tutu-filled adventure.

Remember, darling, no matter where life takes you, always embrace the "je ne sais quoi" – that ineffable Parisian charm that reminds us that even when surrounded by grey concrete and the everyday bustle, we can always find magic in a single rose petal, a whimsical pink tutu, or a perfectly orchestrated ballet sequence. And, with the promise of a full Parisian schedule next week – including some very special ballet classes with the esteemed Paris Opera Ballet company, a date with macarons and perhaps another tutu or two – I can't wait to share more adventures from this fabulous city with you all. Stay tuned, and keep that tutu ready!

À bientôt!

Emma xxx
