#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 2011-06-25: Bonjour, Paris!

Hello, my darlings! Welcome back to www.pink-tutu.com for another exciting edition of my Paris blog! This week marks post number 600 for me - can you believe it?! It's been such a whirlwind of tulle, travel, and fabulous fashion experiences. This week I've been embracing the Parisian spirit, enjoying a quick weekend trip thanks to my latest performance as a Sugar Plum Fairy - ballet certainly pays the bills, especially when you're passionate about travelling!

Eurostar Elegance:

As always, I love the romance of a Eurostar journey. A seamless experience from my doorstep in Derbyshire, straight to the heart of Paris, surrounded by sleek, modern design. And what better way to travel than dressed in a perfectly pink tutu with a sprinkle of sparkle? My travel companion for this trip is a delightfully delicate, blush-hued number that has caught every eye on the journey. (And believe me, it’s got me in the mood for some serious shopping! I always pick up some gorgeous accessories and pieces to add to my ever-expanding tutu wardrobe on these trips).

Pink in the City of Lights:

Upon arrival in Paris, I immediately felt a rush of excitement. The streets of Paris just hum with a different energy than back home. It’s a constant stream of creative energy - everyone looks like a character out of a Parisian film! I could wander for hours just soaking in the vibe - oh, I can’t even tell you how many amazing outfits I’ve spotted!

Ballet in the City:

Of course, Paris has to be visited for the sheer joy of ballet! This weekend has a special performance at the Opera Garnier, featuring a famous Russian dancer. I have to go, my darlings, this is a rare opportunity that I just can’t miss! Imagine, all those intricate movements, all those flowing costumes – oh, how I dream to dance in that very stage someday!

Pink Perfection: Paris Edition

Of course, a trip to Paris means an exploration of its fashionable offerings! My first stop has to be the infamous rue Saint-Honoré, and a visit to the exquisite boutiques lining this street. I'm on the hunt for that perfect vintage brooch to complement my ballet performance look, and maybe even a whimsical handbag in the same glorious pink as my current favourite tutu! Paris is truly the capital of finding unique treasures, and my purse (and tutu-wearing self!) will not be disappointed!

Catching Up with my Parisian Muse:

One of the highlights of my trip has to be the reunion with my dear friend, Clara! We first met at a summer dance camp in Provence a few years ago, and she's my fellow ballet enthusiast. She's now based in Paris and working for a renowned couture house, she is just full of fashion inspiration! I have so many questions about the fashion scene, what she’s been creating, and what exciting projects she's involved with. We’re definitely spending an afternoon at the Musée du Quai Branly – it’s my favourite for finding inspiration. Imagine! A museum with beautiful fabric art and tribal accessories to inspire new outfits and create new ideas – a fashionista’s dream!

Afternoon at a Patisserie:

I wouldn't be true to myself if I didn't make a pit stop at a Parisian patisserie. It wouldn't be a Paris trip without those delightful pastries. I just can't resist! A macaron is a must-have. I’ve found the cutest little cafe with delicious pink raspberry macarons, that’s my sweet indulgence of the day. I can just picture it now – the perfect shade of pink against a white, ceramic plate! Oh, and of course, a warm cup of cafe au lait is essential, and I’ll be tucking in at one of the sidewalk cafes, taking it all in while I plan my evening ballet performance.

The Ballet Performance:

Oh my, I can't even explain it, darlings! Tonight was everything I dreamed it to be. A dazzling spectacle of artistry, from the sheer grace of the ballerina to the exquisite detail in her costumes, the theatre was truly alive with magic! I’ve had so many ideas, just from seeing this one performance, for how I can incorporate that magic into my own routines. I may not be dancing at the Opera Garnier yet, but my journey as a ballerina is a whirlwind of pink tutu inspired possibilities! I even bumped into a group of talented students and had a chance to share some advice! It always fills my heart with joy to meet other passionate souls on the path to embracing ballet. I’ll definitely be making a trip to see this ballet again!

Catching the Parisian Vibe:

Evenings in Paris are magic, darling! Tonight, we're headed to a special outdoor show in the Jardin du Luxembourg, where we can experience street theatre performances under the starlight. There’s a vibrant open air performance, a captivating mix of dance, music, and acrobatics – it is so inspiring! My fellow ballerina friends are here tonight, and we’ll be mingling amongst the local Parisians and getting a taste of the Parisian lifestyle – just soaking it all in!

Postscript: Paris Dreams and Pink Inspiration

So, there you have it, my darlings – another Parisian weekend in the books! I’m truly blessed to have this journey as a ballerina. Paris has a way of making me feel completely at home! My Parisian journey inspires me in every way possible, pushing me to dream bigger and brighter. And who knows what next week will hold?!

Until then, keep dreaming in pink, and may your week be filled with tutu-inspired adventures!

Yours in Tutu, Emma
