Pink Tutu Blog Paris - Post 601: Ooh La La, Paris!

Bonjour, my dearest Tutu Twirlers! It’s Saturday, July 2nd 2011, and I'm in Paris, the City of Lights! It’s been an absolute whirlwind, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world!

This week’s post is all about the magic of the City of Love, filled with my Parisian adventures, ballet delights, and, of course, the ever-important fashion fix. As you know, I’m all about spreading the joy of the pink tutu, and Paris is a city that perfectly embraces both fashion and whimsical flair, so it's the ultimate destination for a Tutu Twirler!

I made my way to Paris via the Eurostar, the ultimate glamorous train journey. Honestly, the experience felt straight out of a glamorous movie - the sleek train, the sweeping views, the Parisian music - all adding up to a magical experience. The best part, you might ask? Well, I finally achieved a lifelong dream - I twirled down the train aisle in my favourite pink tulle tutu.

And let me tell you, my little act of joy was a smash hit with the fellow travellers! From wide-eyed stares to enthusiastic claps, I brought a touch of pink tutu magic to the journey. It's remarkable what a little bit of pink and a twirl can do, isn't it?

A Day at the Ballet

Of course, my trip to Paris wouldn’t be complete without some serious ballet indulgence. I snagged tickets to see "The Sleeping Beauty" at the iconic Palais Garnier Opera House. The whole experience was breathtaking - the opulent decor, the exquisite choreography, and the talented dancers, all spun together in a captivating spectacle. The grandeur and magic of the whole experience just blew me away. Honestly, I’d happily get lost in the swirling ballerinas and romantic sets for days. It truly solidified why I love this form of art so much, every time.

Speaking of ballet, Paris seems to have an incredible ballet scene. I found a darling studio right in the heart of the city and booked myself a few private lessons! Learning from a Parisian ballet teacher is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The technique was so nuanced and expressive, the flow was just beautiful, and the sheer joy of moving in this new environment was pure bliss. My Parisian ballet teacher is fantastic, and even though my French isn't perfect, we communicate beautifully through dance.

Fashion Indulgences & Shopping Therapy

Let's be real - you can't mention Paris without talking about fashion! This city is a paradise for the sartorially inclined, and my first stop had to be the famous department store Galeries Lafayette. Oh my goodness, the beauty of that building! I spent hours getting lost in the labyrinth of stunning shops, finding the perfect silk scarf with a ballerina design to complete my tutu outfits. The selection was insane! And it was all so dreamy, every piece a testament to Parisian fashion brilliance. Honestly, my wardrobe has been seriously updated with the latest Parisian flair!

More Adventures Await!

Now that you're caught up on my first few days, the fun doesn't stop there. Next week, I’ll tell you all about a delightful café tucked away in a charming corner of the city, my journey to the Eiffel Tower (which I did, naturally, in my pink tutu!) and the fantastic French pastries that I indulged in!

Remember to keep up with me on my Instagram (@pinktutuemma) where I post my daily Parisian adventures. I hope you enjoyed this glimpse into my life in Paris, my dearest Tutu Twirlers! Until next week, keep twirling, and keep spreading that pink tutu joy.

Sending you a flurry of pink tutus and Parisian kisses!
