#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 659: Bonjour from Paris! 🇫🇷

Hello, my darling tutu twirlers! Emma here, your very own pink-tutu-clad travel companion, and this week, I'm waltzing straight into your screens from the most romantic city in the world - Paris!

Just as a reminder, for those of you who are new to the world of pink tutus and travel, every Saturday you'll find me sharing my Parisian adventures on www.pink-tutu.com! This week marks my first Parisian escapade - the beginning of an incredible journey of fashion, culture, and (of course!) ballet! 🩰

Arriving in Style

My journey to Paris was absolutely magical, thanks to the wonders of the Eurostar! I love the thrill of arriving in a new country by train. The sleek carriage, the hushed quiet punctuated by the rhythmic clickety-clack of the wheels on the tracks, it's all so wonderfully glamorous.

Now, I wouldn't be true to myself if I didn't mention the outfit I wore, which of course, involved my favourite pink tutu. It's my secret weapon for getting people smiling and making travel extra sparkly. Just imagine, a soft pink tutu with tulle layers billowing out in the wind, coupled with a vintage pink floral dress and my favourite pair of polka-dotted ballerina flats. It was a perfect combination of comfort and whimsy - a truly "Emma" way to make an entrance!

A Touch of Paris

Arriving in Paris was like stepping into a fairy tale! The architecture is so grand and elegant, the cafes buzz with life, and there's an air of excitement that simply thrums through the streets.

My Parisian apartment is a little dream in the Marais, complete with a wrought iron balcony that overlooks a charming little courtyard. Every morning, I step out onto the balcony and breathe in the aroma of freshly baked croissants - such an amazing treat to start the day!

Speaking of treats, I just can't resist a trip to Ladurée, the famous macaron palace. Oh, the colours! And the delicate flavours! Pink and pistachio, my all-time favourites, are definitely the stars of the show.

A Night at the Ballet

The highlight of this Parisian weekend has definitely been a performance at the legendary Opéra Garnier! Stepping into that grand old theatre felt like walking back in time - velvet curtains, crystal chandeliers, and an air of timeless elegance.

I treated myself to a fabulous gown with a delicate pink rose print, accessorized with my signature pink feather boa. (After all, even Parisian nights deserve a touch of pink-tutu magic!)

The ballet was breathtaking - graceful ballerinas twirling across the stage in elegant costumes, each movement a testament to passion, discipline, and artistry. The "Giselle" performance was stunning - an emotional journey through betrayal, love, and redemption, beautifully woven into the dance. There was a moment where the corps de ballet performed their iconic choreography with such exquisite unity, that I felt my own heart taking flight with them. Oh, the magic of ballet! It simply took my breath away!

A Pink-tutu Treasure Hunt

My favourite part of Parisian weekends is exploring the charming shops, and today I decided to go on a "pink tutu treasure hunt"! My mission? To find the perfect pink-tutu accessory to bring back home.

Now, the "pink-tutu treasure hunt" doesn't just involve pink items! Think vintage lace, delicate ribbons, sparkly brooches, and maybe even a little something for my ballet bag. The possibilities are endless!

My first stop was the enchanting vintage clothing shop tucked away on a tiny, cobbled street. It was a treasure trove of delights – hand-stitched silk gloves, velvet hairbands, and a gorgeous pink lace collar.

Next, I strolled down Rue Saint-Honoré, which is simply brimming with beautiful Parisian fashion boutiques. I spotted a fabulous Parisian scarf with a vibrant pink print - absolutely perfect for a dash of pink-tutu glamour!

My hunt for Parisian trinkets even took me to the incredible "Marché des Puces de Saint-Ouen" - the world's largest antique flea market. I managed to snag some lovely vintage ballerina brooches and a gorgeous pair of feather earrings. Every item was a piece of Parisian history, ready to become a unique addition to my own pink-tutu world!

A Farewell Kiss to Paris

After an afternoon of exploring Parisian delights, I enjoyed a traditional French dinner - the food is simply divine! I'm not sure how I'm going to leave Paris! I've had such a whirlwind adventure exploring this enchanting city.

Before I bid farewell to the city of lights, I wanted to leave you with a little pink-tutu tip: No matter where you are in the world, embrace the spirit of your travels. Try on different perspectives, wear bold colours, and let yourself get swept away by the energy of new places. Remember, a pink tutu is a passport to adventure, a symbol of your own unique flair. And, of course, it's never too late to sprinkle a little pink-tutu magic into your life!

Au revoir, Paris! Until next week!
