Pink Tutu Blog Paris #698 - Ooh La La!
Hello my darlings!
It's Emma here, back from my magical jaunt to the City of Lights! Did I tell you all how much I love Paris? It's basically my second home - if my second home had cobbled streets, charming cafes, and the most incredible selection of pink shoes imaginable.
This week, as always, I'm bursting at the seams to tell you all about my adventures! I know I've been MIA this week - you know how much I love a good train journey (and I really love the Eurostar, it’s so glamorous!), so you'll forgive me for not being able to blog while hurtling towards my Parisian paradise.
So, let's recap! My latest adventure in Paris was, of course, fueled by the magic of ballet! I was lucky enough to be booked for a performance in a quaint little theatre just outside the heart of Paris. As you know, it’s the best way to finance my Paris escapades – twirling my way to a Parisian getaway!
Day One - Oh, the joy of arrival
This week's arrival at Gare du Nord was a sight to behold - imagine a kaleidoscope of people all radiating excitement, excitement that matched my own! I almost tripped over my own pink tutu, I was that happy!
I took a leisurely stroll, my tulle swirling around me, and made my way to my gorgeous little hotel near the Louvre. Let me tell you, finding the perfect hotel is like finding the perfect pair of shoes - it has to be chic, comfortable, and utterly irresistible. Mine ticked all the boxes, with a darling balcony overlooking a tranquil little street. And it's just a short walk from the magnificent Louvre! How divine!
Of course, after unpacking (and taking an Instagram selfie with my ballet bag!), I headed straight to a charming cafe, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filling my senses. What's better than coffee, you ask? A slice of rich, gooey chocolate cake. That was my afternoon delight, all enjoyed while watching the world go by. It's just the way Parisians do!
Day Two - Dance, dance, dance!
My heart was practically bursting out of my pink tutu when I arrived at the little theatre where I was to perform. There’s always such a wonderful energy around performers and I'm never not star struck. The space was so charming! I even had a quick practice session in my favourite ballet shoes, which I have to say felt right at home on the beautiful stage. The performance itself was pure bliss, as I twirled and leaped to my heart's content. The applause at the end was worth all the practice.
Day Three - A ballet lesson fit for a princess!
On my day off, what's better than an exciting, exhilarating, invigorating ballet class? Imagine me, a ballet bag full of sparkly hair accessories, heading to a studio. What an afternoon! I learnt some beautiful new techniques – my favourite was a move where I spun like a flower in the breeze – I couldn’t stop giggling with delight. The instructor was wonderful, so patient and encouraging - the kindest heart and a ballet enthusiast through and through. I even managed to do a perfect arabesque!
Day Four – Pink and sparkly shoes
A girl's gotta do her Parisian duty and check out some fabulous shoes. That's how it works! You see, it’s not just ballet and tutus I adore, but also gorgeous, stylish shoes! I think of myself as a shoe connoisseur. You know me! So after breakfast at a delightful cafe – a breakfast of croissants and strong coffee (don’t tell my French teacher), I took off for the iconic shoe shops in Paris. They were just what my pink shoes were calling for.
Imagine my delight! There were glittering pairs with intricate designs, and even some shoes I'd never even imagined – perfect for a ballerina with a taste for pink!
The best thing, of course, was picking out a pair of ballet flats with an intricate pattern – perfect for my adventures in the City of Love.
Day Five - All that glitters
The Seine in the golden light of sunset? Yes! I'd say that's a dream come true!
I went for a relaxing afternoon stroll along the beautiful Seine, soaking in the scenery – it really felt like a movie! As the sun set over the City of Lights, its reflection shimmered on the river. Everything looked as if it had been dusted with glitter! My pink tutu sparkled in the golden light. There wasn’t a soul around – it was so quiet and romantic.
Day Six – A feast for the senses
Parisian dinners, what a treat! This one was even better – I'd found a cute little restaurant with the best-smelling food and the loveliest little tables. Of course, it had to be French, so there were plates with beautiful presentations of food – every piece a little work of art! After my delicious dinner, I even sampled a rich dessert, the sweetest pastry. I know, indulgent right? But it's Paris. You deserve to treat yourself!
Day Seven – Oh la la – home sweet home
It’s always a sad day saying au revoir to Paris, but there's no place like home. I’ll definitely be back soon for more adventures.
A heartfelt merci for being here for my weekly adventures and be sure to tune in next week for more adventures in my magical Parisian life, but most importantly, never stop twirling, darlings!
I always feel that the magic of a pink tutu makes the world a brighter, prettier place!
Now off to a ballet lesson in my new sparkly ballet flats!
Until next Saturday, my dears!
Kisses!

P.S. This was the highlight of my Parisian week, just wait until you see it.
I visited the The Musée Rodin, located on the banks of the Seine. It’s absolutely beautiful, full of romantic art by the talented sculptor Auguste Rodin. His famous ‘Thinker’ is just divine!
And can we talk about the courtyard of the museum? It’s like stepping into another world, full of amazing sculptures – such an enchanting place. If you ever find yourself in Paris, you have to see it! I know, I'm practically an art expert, I love to experience so many new things and have a lot to say, just like a princess in her fairytale.
