Hello darlings! It's Saturday, and you know what that means? A fresh post from your favourite pink-tutu-clad traveller! 🩰 This week, I'm whisking you away to the most romantic city in the world: Paris!
Ever since I was a little girl, dreaming of becoming a prima ballerina, I've yearned to explore the city of lights. My dreams finally came true last week when I hopped aboard the Eurostar, feeling like a fairytale princess heading for her happily ever after. (It helps that I was wearing a brand new pink tutu, naturally!) 😉
A Tutu-ful Arrival
The train journey was an absolute delight, all gleaming white seats, Parisian jazz music playing softly, and the promise of adventure hanging in the air. It was so easy and comfy, just like stepping into a little bit of luxury!
The Eiffel Tower was the first Parisian landmark to greet me, rising tall and proud against the soft Parisian sky. It felt like something out of a movie, and honestly, it’s more magical in real life!
The first thing I did? Well, you know me – straight to the shops, naturally! I had to stock up on some chic French-style clothes for my Parisian adventures. Paris has got such a cool and timeless aesthetic, so you just know my wardrobe is about to get an incredible upgrade. And hey, what better place to pick up some stylish inspiration than the heart of Parisian fashion? 😉
Bonjour, Ballet!
This weekend was all about embracing Parisian culture and what better way to do that than by catching a ballet show at the iconic Opéra Garnier? The theatre itself is like a dream come true. The gold decorations, the ornate sculptures, and the feeling of pure Parisian elegance that oozes from every corner – simply breathtaking!
And the ballet performance itself? Magical, darling, simply magical. Seeing all those beautiful ballerinas pirouetting on the stage with such grace and precision... well, let’s just say my own ballerina dreams got a little stronger after that! Maybe it’s time to start planning a ballet workshop in Paris? Hmm, a pink tutu pilgrimage... I love the sound of that!
Charming Cafe Moments
Between all the ballet and shopping (of course!), I made sure to soak up some quintessential Parisian charm. I popped into a charming cafe just off the Champs-Élysées, indulging in a warm croissant and a strong cup of coffee, watching the world go by. It was pure Parisian bliss, and the best part? The cafe had a little ballet themed decor! I guess it's a sign...
The Eiffel Tower Twinkle
There’s something magical about seeing the Eiffel Tower sparkle against the night sky, illuminated with a thousand lights. The entire city seems to be dancing under its spell. It's a feeling you just can't replicate anywhere else, and I’m certainly not missing the opportunity to indulge in this Parisian spectacle!
Pink Tutu Musings
This trip to Paris has been a total dream, and you know I'm going to be documenting everything in my pink tutu diaries for weeks to come! It's given me so much inspiration, especially in terms of embracing my inner ballerina spirit. I'm already planning my next trip, maybe a weekend in Versailles or a romantic ballet-themed getaway to Prague… oh, the possibilities!
