Pink Tutu Paris - Post 720 - Bonjour from the City of Lights!

Hello lovelies! It's Emma here, writing to you from the most magical city in the world, Paris! This is Post 720 of the Pink Tutu blog, and this week, I'm bringing you all the Parisian pinktastic adventures straight from the City of Lights itself!

It was an absolute dream hopping on the EuroStar this week and waking up in Paris. I have to say, I'm absolutely in love with the train journeys, they're so stylish and chic, just like the city itself!

As you all know, Paris is a huge source of inspiration for me - not only for its stunning architecture and rich history, but for its fashion scene, of course! Every single Parisian seems to have impeccable style, and I just love how effortless and cool everyone looks. And honestly, I can't think of a better place to take in some ballet inspiration, either!

This week, I was particularly drawn to a performance of "Le Corsaire" at the Palais Garnier. I absolutely loved the dramatic story and beautiful choreography, and I was mesmerized by the vibrant costumes. My favourite was the colourful "Odalisques" dance, and their exquisite, swishing costumes felt like they were dancing right alongside them! Speaking of which...

Pink Tutu Alert! This week, my outfit of choice was a beautiful blush pink tutu, paired with a crisp white blouse and a chic black blazer. It's all about that classic French contrast, you see - the sweetness of the tutu against the sharpness of the black blazer, perfect for channeling a touch of Parisian chic. It turned out that I'd also found myself in the middle of the vibrant "Festival Paris-Plages" - and what a perfect backdrop for some tutu pics! I got to try some delicious macarons, soak up the sunshine, and enjoy the stunning view of Notre Dame from the banks of the Seine. My cheeks flushed pinker than the macarons themselves from a delightful mix of the French sunshine and all the beautiful scenery!

Oh, and my trip wouldn't be complete without indulging in some delicious French pastries - especially those glorious, fluffy croissants. Honestly, a croissant dipped in a cup of strong, hot French coffee is my ultimate comfort food!

Pink Tutu in Paris - My Weekly Ballet Ritual!

Even on holiday, there's no excuse to let those ballet skills get rusty! Paris is an absolute haven for ballerinas, and I took the chance to try a new class at the "Atelier du Ballet." The class itself was absolutely fantastic - the teacher was so inspiring, and the studio was incredibly light and airy, filled with an energy I absolutely loved! My legs are definitely feeling it now, but I loved the challenge! And my new favourite pink ballerina outfit is certainly getting a good work out!

After the class, I spent a bit of time strolling through the streets of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, which is an absolute must-visit if you love to indulge in Parisian fashion! I managed to score some incredible finds in vintage shops and boutiques, including a stunning pair of vintage pink ballet shoes. Now, it wouldn't be a proper Pink Tutu Paris blog post without at least one adorable café visit! The charming café right around the corner from the boutique, "Le Chat Noir," is a must-visit. This sweet little spot is absolutely charming and just perfect for enjoying a good coffee and a bit of people-watching with a delicious "pain au chocolat" or a delicious "Paris Brest".

This trip to Paris really solidified one of my firm beliefs: Everyone needs to try at least one ballet performance in their life! The incredible artistry, the athleticism, the beauty of it all just took my breath away! I spent the week admiring all the incredible performances, which felt as breathtakingly inspiring as ever! Whether it’s the stunning artistry of the Paris Opera Ballet or the intimate charm of a smaller local theatre, watching a ballet is an absolutely enchanting experience that will definitely leave you spellbound. It is this exact feeling that makes me keep coming back to the stage over and over. Even if that’s just as a performer at local village hall!

Of course, my Parisian trip was made even more magical because I had my trusty pink tutu packed with me! It’s a little piece of home I always bring with me, and it reminds me of my own dream – to spread a little pink tutu magic around the world!

I always feel incredibly grateful for all of you who read my Pink Tutu Blog. Every Saturday, sharing my love for ballet, fashion, and travelling brings me immense joy, and your messages of love and support are simply the best! My heart is filled with pinkness as I type this and as I plan to share my next adventure with you all next Saturday!

Bisous!

Emma
