#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post Number 726: A Parisian Pinktastic Adventure!
Bonjour, mes chéries! It's your favourite pink-loving ballerina, Emma, here, ready to take you on a Parisian adventure! I'm so excited to be back in the City of Lights for my seventh visit - it just never gets old! This week, I'm whisking you all off on a trip to Paris with me, and it's a whirlwind of tutus, theatres, and… drumroll… even more tutus!
For you non-Parisian peeps, it's a Saturday morning and I'm currently snuggled up in my favourite pink-hued Parisian cafe, sipping a steaming hot chocolat. Just a few hours ago, I was zipping through the countryside on the Eurostar, admiring the stunning views. Oh, the joy of travelling by train - a real fairytale experience.
Speaking of fairy tales, let me tell you - Paris just makes my heart sing. I'm absolutely smitten with the charming cobbled streets, the delicious boulangeries that seem to be on every corner (my waistline isn't thanking me!), and the sheer elegance that hangs in the air like a beautiful, perfumed mist. And as always, I'm taking full advantage of this incredible city.
I can't believe how lucky I am to be living my dream. This week, I funded my trip with a stunning performance at the Royal Opera House back in good old Derbyshire. There’s nothing quite like seeing the smiles on children’s faces as they witness a bit of magical ballet, and that’s what keeps me motivated. And, let’s be honest, a little bit of ballet funding always helps make Paris a whole lot pinker!
Today, I’ve already tickled my fancy with some rather splendid shopping, naturally! As any sensible ballerina knows, a visit to Paris is never complete without a pilgrimage to Galeries Lafayette. It's just bursting at the seams with gorgeous clothes, shoes, and that Parisian chic I've been longing for. Honestly, I spent so much time trying on pretty frocks that my arms started to ache! Luckily, there were lots of mirrors and places to twirl!
Later, my afternoon was spent at the Garnier Opera House. It’s so breathtaking - all grand and sparkly with those huge chandeliers - I actually had to take a moment just to stand and marvel. We saw an absolutely fantastic production of "Swan Lake" - so mesmerizing! And, as you might have guessed, I decided to spice up the audience with my signature pink tutu! Wink. The performance was everything I’d dreamed of. Seeing all those dancers performing so beautifully just sets my soul on fire!
This evening, my lovely boyfriend (and tutu-tolerant chap), George, and I will be enjoying dinner at a charming bistro, sampling some local wine (and maybe some extra chocolate!). You never know - a little spontaneous ballet may occur!
Paris Fashion Finds
So, here's a little peek at what's made it into my bag during my Parisian shopping adventure:
The Pink Tutu - No trip to Paris is complete without a new tutu! I snagged a magnificent silk pink tutu, absolutely perfect for strolling through the Latin Quarter.
French Beret - You can’t go to Paris without one! And let's be honest, they make the perfect pairing for a pink tutu - you know I love a theme!
Pink Pumps - Oh, Paris, my love. Your selection of shoes is just divine! I managed to get my hands on some beautiful ballet pumps, with just a touch of pink (it goes with everything!).
Vintage Parisian Scarves - Let’s face it, Paris is a beautiful place. Every corner boasts charm, and those lovely vintage scarves remind me of the city’s magic and make my outfits sing! I even picked up a sparkly silver one for my dancing escapades!
A Box of Macarons - We all know the iconic Parisian treat. Honestly, just looking at the delicate pastries, in shades of pink and yellow and lavender, brought a smile to my face!
My Paris Musings
Paris is the ultimate muse! It just inspires me to dream big, dance bigger, and, of course, rock the most incredible tutus! The city whispers tales of romance, art, and the beauty of being yourself.
It really makes you want to live life to the fullest, be a little adventurous, and twirl your way through life. So, wherever you are, go out there, and embrace that inner Parisian pink tutu princess!
Until next week, mes chéries, I’ll leave you with this: Every day should be a ballet!
XOXO,
Emma
