#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 746: Bonjour from the City of Lights!

Hello my gorgeous darlings,

It’s Saturday, the sun is shining (almost, a few fluffy clouds have made themselves comfy amongst the azure!), and I’m sitting in a quaint Parisian café, enjoying a delicious café au lait with a croissant that could win a beauty pageant! Can you believe I’m finally in Paris? Oh, la la!

The journey down on the Eurostar was, as always, an absolute dream. It was like stepping into a glossy magazine – stylish interiors, smooth ride, and friendly staff who looked straight out of a chic Parisian fashion editorial. The only downside? I had to take my tutu off! Honestly, trying to shimmy into the tiny airplane seats while rocking a pink tulle masterpiece is practically impossible.

This trip, however, has a very special reason. Paris is hosting the Grand Prix de l'Opéra, and as you know, I would practically climb Everest wearing nothing but a pink tutu to be in the front row of a top-notch ballet performance! And the line-up this year is divine! We’re talking the Paris Opera Ballet with world-famous dancers and legendary choreography. Let me tell you, the anticipation for this performance has been practically electric! It’s enough to make any girl, especially a ballet-obsessed girl like myself, excited.

Speaking of Paris, the moment my little eyes laid upon the Eiffel Tower, I literally squealed with delight. Honestly, it’s even more breathtaking in real life. I was already planning out my photo op – a gorgeous shot with the Eiffel Tower in the background, me in my sparkly pink tutu, of course, and a glass of champagne in hand. Imagine the picture, my darlings, simply picture it!

Speaking of shopping, The Bon Marché, a Parisian department store known for its elegant and chic styles, is a must-visit. They’re actually having a pink-tutu-inspired sale! No, I’m not kidding! They're offering discounts on everything from ballet-inspired dresses to pink ballet flats to fluffy tulle skirts! It's like they knew I was coming. Let's just say that my suitcase might be a little… erm, well… fuller than it was when I arrived.

Today’s to-do list is a whirlwind of Parisian delights: a leisurely stroll through Le Jardin des Tuileries (picture me, with my tutu twirling gracefully, obviously), a decadent picnic by the Seine, and some impromptu pas de deux on the cobblestone streets (okay, maybe not, my balance might not be quite up to par for such public performances!). Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without a visit to a famous boulangerie, so Le Boulanger du Coin will be getting my patronage today. My stomach is already in heaven!

As always, I will be keeping you updated on all the très chic goings-on. I am determined to share the joy of Paris and the joy of pink tutus with all of you, darlings! I know, a Parisian adventure, what’s not to love!

Follow my Instagram and keep your eyes peeled for more updates and, of course, pink tutus everywhere you look. You never know, I might even catch you in the act! Au revoir for now, my darlings!

With love,

Emma, The Pink Tutu Blogger
