#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post #761: A Parisian Pink Dream 🩰🇫🇷

Bonjour mes amis!

It's Saturday, and you know what that means - it's time for another Parisian adventure! This week, I took the plunge and travelled by Eurostar - what a dreamy experience, like gliding across the Channel on a cloud! I can't deny, it's just so romantic and effortless, much more relaxing than dealing with airport queues, even for a fashionista on the go.

The sheer joy of reaching Gare du Nord in Paris is something I could never tire of. That buzz, that air of Parisian sophistication, and, of course, the delicious promise of adventures!

Paris - My Kind of Pink

As soon as I arrived, I was already embracing the Parisian flair. Stepping out of the station, I noticed a street artist painting a mural of pink flamingoes! It was just so fabulous! Paris really is my kind of pink!

Speaking of pink, I was also thrilled to discover the prettiest little boutique tucked away in a cobblestone alley. It was bursting with beautiful silk scarves in all shades of rose, lavender and blush. I snagged myself a stunning pink paisley number that's just perfect for adding a touch of elegance to my everyday outfits.

Ballet, Boutiques & Belle Epoque

After my shopping spree, I headed to the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées to catch a breathtaking performance by the Paris Opera Ballet. It was magnifique! I was mesmerised by the intricate choreography, the breathtaking costumes and the sheer power and elegance of the dancers. And yes, I even got my Tutu fix, as the principal dancer was sporting a beautiful rose-pink tutu. Talk about a perfect Parisian performance!

Then, I took a leisurely stroll along the Champs-Élysées. Everything was bathed in a golden evening glow, a perfect Parisian tableau! And you won't believe what I saw on my walk - a street performance right there on the sidewalk! Two talented ballet dancers, graceful and poised in their flowing gowns, were showcasing a piece of contemporary ballet. I just couldn't resist joining in! It was the perfect chance to bust out a few pirouettes and jeté. Even if it was only on the Champs-Élysées, it felt like I was back in my Derbyshire dance studio!

An Evening with Monsieur Eiffel

As the sun began to set, I headed to the Eiffel Tower, ready to experience the breathtaking panoramic view of the City of Lights. It truly was a sight to behold - the cityscape shimmered and sparkled beneath the twilight sky, it was the ultimate romantic scene. It just had to be the backdrop for a pink tutu-worthy selfie!

Later that evening, I indulged in a delicious, Parisian dinner in a charming little bistro, where I treated myself to some escargots (they weren't as slimy as I expected!) and a bottle of chilled French rosé. It was the perfect end to a day filled with ballets, boutiques and the enchanting atmosphere of Paris.

Looking ahead to the next week in Paris

As I settle back in my hotel room, the sound of distant street musicians drifts in through the open window, I feel a profound sense of peace. The French countryside waits just beyond the window, and the thought of tomorrow’s adventures fill me with excitement. Maybe tomorrow will bring a visit to Montmartre or a picnic in the Jardin du Luxembourg, I’m not quite sure yet, but whatever it brings, I know it will be absolutely magnifique!

Until next Saturday, keep dancing, stay positive and don't forget to wear a pink tutu! 💖

Au revoir!
