#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 2014-12-20 Exploring Paris: Tutu-ing Around the City of Lights!

Hello darlings! Welcome back to #PinkTutuBlogParis! This week, I'm sharing my adventures from my most recent trip to the magical City of Lights, Paris!

I'm so excited to finally be posting again. My travels took me on a whirlwind of tulle, train journeys and twinkling Parisian lights. As always, it was an absolute dream!

This week marks the 782nd post on www.pink-tutu.com - I simply cannot believe we've come this far together, tutufied fashionistas! It's amazing to see how this little blog has grown, and how it's become a space where we can all share our love for pink, twirling and living life to the fullest.

Before we dive into my Paris adventures, let me tell you a little about my journey getting here. You all know I love train travel, and what better way to reach Paris than by the iconic Eurostar? It was an absolute joy, I even got a window seat!

So, back to Paris! As usual, the city didn't disappoint. It's hard not to feel utterly charmed by Parisian chic, and for me, that charm means all the things that make life pretty: a sprinkle of pink, an elegant dress, and the joy of a well-executed pirouette. Paris, it's simply the perfect combination of style, culture and oh-so-much ballet.

Speaking of ballet, this week's adventure took me to the Opera Garnier, the epitome of grandeur! It was a truly magical experience. The building itself is a feast for the eyes with ornate interiors, glittering chandeliers and breathtaking architecture. The performance, well, it was just breathtaking, so much passion and energy! It's hard not to be swept away by the beauty of ballet - it really is the language of the soul, wouldn't you agree?

Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without a bit of shopping! You know I adore indulging in the world of Parisian fashion. This time, I had my eye on a stunning pink dress from Chloé, and a pair of adorable ballerina flats from Repetto. I must say, my shopping haul this time was quite pink! I've been saving up for these treats from my latest ballet performance, so I felt perfectly justified in treating myself to something fabulous.

But darling, Paris is about more than just ballet and fashion. There's so much history, culture, and beauty around every corner. I wandered through the charming cobbled streets of the Latin Quarter, soaking up the bohemian vibes, admired the iconic Eiffel Tower sparkling in the twilight and took a boat ride down the Seine. Every sight was just so wonderfully picturesque, perfect for capturing memories through the lens of my pink tutu-fied camera!

However, the real highlight of my Parisian weekend was the opportunity to finally visit the stunning Jardin des Tuileries, just a short stroll from the Louvre. This charming park was created by Catherine de Medici herself and offers a blissful oasis within the heart of the bustling city. It is home to enchanting statues and fountains, making it a perfect place to just unwind and lose yourself in the peaceful atmosphere. Oh, and I couldn't resist whipping out my trusty pink tutu for a quick twirl around the gardens, it's just so hard to resist twirling amongst such elegance!

As always, Paris was a dream! There was so much to see and do. But honestly, I think I could live here and still have plenty to discover. The energy is electrifying and inspiring, and I can't help but feel so invigorated and energised after my time in the city of love!

Here's what's next for me:

  • My next ballet performance is next month. It’s going to be a challenge to pull off a difficult new routine - I will share the rehearsal process with you next week. I am excited!
  • I am aiming for 800 posts on my website before the end of January! That would be amazing.
  • I am currently in Derbyshire, so there may be a pink tutu-fied blog about my home town soon.

Remember, my dears, I believe that the world would be a brighter and more joyful place if everyone embraced their inner pink tutu. Don't be afraid to twirl, to express your own unique style, and to bring a little sparkle wherever you go.

See you next week!

Much love and twirls,

Emma
