Pink Tutu in Paris: A Week of Wonder (#PinkTutuBlogParis)

Post Number: 810

Bonjour mes amis! Welcome to this week’s instalment of #PinkTutuBlogParis. It’s Saturday the 4th of July (which, I just realised, means Bastille Day is just around the corner!), and I'm so thrilled to be sharing all the Parisian delights I've been soaking up this past week.

It all started, as usual, with a gloriously pink EuroStar adventure. The smooth journey through the Channel Tunnel is always an event in itself, especially with a freshly ironed tutu to set off the perfect train travel outfit. And when you're surrounded by gorgeous French countryside views and a soundtrack of chic Parisian chatter, you know you're on the cusp of a fabulous adventure!

Speaking of fabulous, I'm just going to put this out there: I am obsessed with Paris. Everything about this city screams 'dreamy' in a beautiful, artistic, and deliciously charming way. This week was particularly special, though, because I was here to witness a truly magical ballet performance: Romeo and Juliet by the world-famous Paris Opera Ballet. I'm talking stunning sets, breathtaking costumes, and of course, some of the most incredible dancers on the planet!

I won't lie, my inner ballerina had a total meltdown! All those graceful leaps and pirouettes? My own attempts to replicate them in the hotel room (with the help of a strategically placed chair to act as my barre) didn’t quite have the same finesse! However, let's just say it provided plenty of entertainment for myself (and perhaps my neighbours, although I can't be sure as I was, understandably, completely caught up in the performance!)

While I'm on the subject of tutus, I've been adding to my collection in Paris, obviously! This city is an absolute haven for tutus (and honestly, just for fun, stylish, pink, whimsical clothing in general)! You can find everything from the most decadent designer pieces in chic boutiques to the cutest, fluffiest tutus in hidden gem shops tucked away down tiny cobbled streets. This week, I found myself a gorgeous ombre tutu – a symphony of pink, peach, and ivory shades – that's absolutely perfect for twirling under the Eiffel Tower, and yes, that's definitely happening very soon.

My time in Paris has also been dedicated to indulging in the glorious, rich culture this city has to offer. We’ve been enjoying the breathtaking beauty of the Seine River, getting lost in the iconic galleries of the Louvre, and of course, embracing the intoxicating aroma of fresh pastries from every little boulangerie on every corner.

One of the things that truly blew me away this week was a street performance by a talented young violinist, playing classical pieces so beautifully in the heart of the Latin Quarter. The way he captivated the attention of the bustling crowd was mesmerizing, a perfect example of the effortless artistry that shines throughout this vibrant city.

Paris, as always, is inspiring. Not just for my dance moves, though let's face it, the tutus have a way of making you feel pretty fabulous, but for the art, the history, the food, and the vibrant, cosmopolitan spirit that permeates every corner of this magical place.

Oh, and before I forget – I am still determined to get everyone in the world wearing a pink tutu. And let me tell you, I am slowly making progress, one pink-tutu-clad Parisian at a time. Maybe it’s the French air, maybe it's the breathtaking views from the Sacré-Cœur, or maybe it's simply the infectious, fun, and lighthearted energy that flows through the streets, but whatever the reason, Paris is embracing my pink tutu mission with open arms. I even spotted a stylish young Parisian man with a subtle, dusty pink tulle skirt – and dare I say it, it was positively chic!

Speaking of spreading the tutu-love, this week I have a challenge for all of you lovely readers! It's a simple one: Embrace your inner ballerina, find your favourite spot in your home, put on a tutu (any colour will do!), and dance! I guarantee it'll put a smile on your face.

And finally, for all my pink-tutu-loving friends out there, don’t forget to check out the upcoming schedule on www.pink-tutu.com for my upcoming ballet performances.

Stay stylish, Emma

P.S. Have I mentioned how much I love tutus?
