Pink Tutu Blog Paris: #831 - Bonjour from the City of Lights!
Well, darlings, it's finally happened! I'm in Paris, the city of romance, fashion, and pink - all the things I hold dear. And who better to explore this glamorous city with than your favourite tutu-wearing blogger?
Eurostar Adventure
I confess, I am a bit of a train enthusiast (not just a passenger, I really do love trains!), and the Eurostar didn't disappoint. Whizzing through the Channel Tunnel felt like a scene from a Bond film - minus the gadgets, of course. I spent the journey writing this blog, browsing some adorable vintage Parisian magazines I snagged from the onboard shop, and just relishing the moment. The train journey from London to Paris was so much more exciting and comfortable than a flight.
First Day - Pink Perfect in Paris!
As I arrived at Gare du Nord, the city was already whispering sweet nothings in my ear. My heart fluttered at the scent of freshly baked croissants, the Parisian elegance of the locals, and the chic cafes brimming with life. I swiftly found my little, very pink hotel in Montmartre. My darling, it was absolutely perfect. Think lace doilies, antique mirrored surfaces, a little bit of je ne sais quoi and an explosion of pink that would make Barbie blush. It was pure Parisian magic!
Ballet Debut: A Ballet Heaven in Paris
The first stop on my agenda? Why, a ballet performance, naturally! I was mesmerized at the Opéra Garnier, its architecture both dramatic and elegant. The performance of 'Swan Lake' was a masterpiece. Seeing those dancers leap and spin across the stage in their breathtaking costumes - it left me feeling completely spellbound. And guess what? They were even wearing pink tutus in certain parts! You just cannot beat a classic ballerina in a pink tutu, my darlings.
A Parisienne Chic Street Style Journey
And, what is a Parisian trip without some serious street style? This afternoon, I ventured out for a spot of retail therapy in Le Marais. This little corner of Paris is absolutely divine - cobbled streets lined with gorgeous shops selling beautiful dresses, vintage jewelry, and quirky art pieces. I, of course, couldn't resist snapping a few outfit pics for you. You'll see the pics soon - think vintage elegance meets ballerina chic, all in a kaleidoscope of pinks, reds, and Parisian-inspired charm.
From Montmartre to the Louvre - Art & Culture Galore
Of course, no trip to Paris would be complete without a visit to the Louvre. I can't get over its grandeur, my darlings! Those ancient statues and iconic paintings left me breathless, in the best way possible. My favourite artwork? Well, that's easy. It has to be "The Kiss" by Rodin - pure, passionate, and almost unbearably romantic. Did I mention, I just happened to wear my blush-pink tulle tutu to the Louvre? Well, let's just say, it attracted a lot of attention, and lots of smiling faces! It's certainly not everyday you see a tutu-clad ballerina standing by the Mona Lisa!
Savor the Moment
You know, darling, even with my meticulously planned itinerary, this trip has already exceeded my wildest expectations. The sights, the sounds, the atmosphere, it's all simply captivating. I’ve sipped espresso in chic cafes, savored croissants that were like little bites of heaven, and even managed to squeeze in a delicious macarons picnic in Jardin du Luxembourg. Yes, my darlings, life is beautiful and even more beautiful in Paris, the city that never fails to inspire!
Pink Dreams Come True: The Perfect Paris Dress
Oh, and speaking of beautiful things… while browsing the shops on Rue de Rivoli, I stumbled across the most beautiful pink dress you have ever seen. I'm not sure how to describe it – think tulle and satin, a symphony of ruffles and bows, with a touch of vintage charm. It’s the dress, the dress of my Parisian dreams, my darlings. Needless to say, it was destined for my suitcase.
Coming Up - Shopping Spree, Performance Paradise & a Parisian Pink Promenade
Next week, it’s going to be all about exploring the Parisian fashion scene. I’ve already got my sights set on Chanel and Dior – but I'll be sharing my bargain-hunting finds with you too! Of course, there’ll be more Parisian ballet and theatre - I can’t wait for ‘La Bayadère’ at Palais Garnier! Plus, I’m planning a delightful pink promenade – imagine me twirling in my Parisian pink dress amongst the charming Parisian streets - perfect!
Don’t forget to check back next Saturday for my next blog post, my darlings. And remember: spread the pink tutu love wherever you go!
Bisous,
Emma xx
