Pink Tutu Travels: Paris, je t'aime! - Post #842
Bonjour mes amis!
It's Saturday, and you know what that means? A brand new Pink Tutu Travels post is here, fresh from the cobblestone streets of Paris!
The City of Lights, it truly lives up to its name. My EuroStar journey from Derbyshire was, as ever, a blissful dream - nothing beats a whizzing train trip when you're a tutu-clad traveller on a mission to embrace Parisian chic. The sights were simply divine – fields of golden wheat turning into shimmering, snow-capped peaks. A truly spectacular sight, even better viewed from a comfy train seat with my favourite shade of pink tulle cascading around me.
Saturday, 13th February 2016 – the day love is in the air (and so is my pink tutu, obviously!). I landed in Paris, my heart soaring with the promise of romance, a beautiful ballet, and the most wonderful shops imaginable. I mean, where else can you get an exquisite tulle confection AND a croissant in one afternoon?!
This weekend is filled with ballet goodness! My favourite troupe, Le Ballet de l’Opéra National de Paris, is showcasing "La Bayadère" – the legendary story of a temple dancer. My pink tutu and I are ready to immerse ourselves in the graceful artistry and captivating beauty of this ballet masterpiece.
Speaking of grace and artistry… My pink tutu and I are in search of the most beautiful shops Paris has to offer. There are so many enchanting places! From quaint, vintage boutiques with delicate lace and vintage fabrics to glamorous showrooms filled with dazzling sequins and shimmering satin… My pink tutu senses are tingling with excitement!
But before I disappear into a whirlwind of haute couture, I have a most important task: afternoon tea! Paris is known for its pastries, but tea and scones are my true weakness. It wouldn't be a proper Parisian adventure without indulging in a truly magnificent afternoon tea, donning my pink tutu and soaking up the charm of the city.
Pink Tutu Fashion Tip: To add a touch of Paris to your own style, try incorporating a delicate, floral pattern in your outfit. Think pretty floral prints, maybe a small corsage for a touch of whimsical flair. Add a pop of colour - remember, the world is my pink canvas!
I know what you're thinking: How does she fund these fabulous adventures? Well, besides the endless joy I find in my ballet performances, there’s also a little bit of careful saving and creative budgeting. But most of all, my pink tutu philosophy: "Embrace joy, follow your dreams, and always add a sprinkle of pink!"
Stay tuned, my darling pink tutu-loving friends, for more Paris adventures next week! Don't forget to check out my website www.pink-tutu.com for more travel inspiration, ballet adventures, and fabulous pink outfits.
Until then, let the dance of life take you to your own wonderful destinations!
Bisous from a very happy ballerina,
Emma
