#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 844 - Saturday 27th February 2016: Parisian Dreams in Pink!

Bonjour, mes amis! It's your favourite pink-tutu-wearing ballerina, Emma, here, back from a whirlwind trip to Paris! It’s been a week of enchanting waltzes, stunning catwalks, and oh, the shopping! Let’s just say I might need to expand my luggage for my next visit – can a girl ever have too many pink tutus, I ask you?

I’ve been dreaming of this Paris trip for months. It felt like forever ago that I packed my pink tutu into my suitcase and set off on the Eurostar. The sheer magic of it! This trip has been all about indulging in those Parisian indulgences – from the delectable pastries at patisseries to the breathtaking fashion shows and ballets, Paris never disappoints!

Day 1 - Arriving in Style:

After a seamless journey on the Eurostar, which really is the most elegant way to travel, I landed at Gare du Nord, my trusty pink tutu bag in hand. A taxi ride, through the romantic Parisian streets, delivered me to my hotel in the chicest district of Saint Germain. I literally skipped to my room, it felt so perfect! The hotel’s charm had me feeling like a ballerina from a fairytale, ready to start my Parisian adventure!

Day 2 - Fashion Week Frenzy!

You guys know how much I adore fashion, and let’s be honest, there's nothing quite like Paris Fashion Week! The air was buzzing with creative energy! I found myself watching the shows from the front row, not a bad spot for this budding fashionista. So much inspiration was bubbling! Pink, of course, featured heavily on the catwalks, proving that my love affair with this beautiful colour knows no bounds!

Day 3 - Ballerina Bliss!

A ballet trip to Paris just wouldn't be complete without seeing a performance at the Palais Garnier. The Opera House itself is like stepping into a gilded dream – its grandeur is unbelievable! The show was truly unforgettable. It's one thing to watch these beautiful dancers on screen but being in the presence of such elegance and skill is just magic. My feet ached just from watching! Afterwards, I couldn’t resist a little visit to the Palais Garnier’s shop, adding another fabulous pair of pink ballet shoes to my collection – it’s all about supporting the arts, isn’t it?

Day 4 - Montmartre Mayhem

Every trip to Paris needs a dose of bohemian Montmartre. This neighbourhood has such a unique and free-spirited charm about it. From the iconic Sacré-Coeur Basilica to the cobbled streets lined with colourful artists, Montmartre’s magic is undeniable. I even caught a charming little street ballet performance that had me feeling right at home. After a spot of shopping (what can I say, it's in my nature!) and some of the best croissants in the world, I felt like a true Parisian – a bit worn-out, but happy as can be!

Day 5 - Shopping Splendour

The grand boutiques along the Champs-Elysees! Where do I begin? Let's just say the streets are my favourite fashion runway, and with Paris Fashion Week just ending, the atmosphere was simply intoxicating. The best part? Spotting pink and more pink in every window! I did indulge in a few, shall we say, necessities.

Day 6 - Seine River Romance:

Paris by night is a vision. What could be better than a romantic cruise down the Seine, with twinkling lights all around, feeling like a princess in my pink tutu? Okay, so maybe a few people might have done some double takes but hey, Paris is a city for embracing individuality, right?

Day 7 - Time To Go:

Leaving Paris is never easy, especially after such a delightful week, but it's back to the hustle and bustle of reality. However, I have a feeling that this was just the start of my Parisian adventures. Paris has left me feeling inspired, enchanted and oh, so pink!

Until next time, mes amis! Stay pink and keep dancing!
