Pink Tutu Travels: Paris ā A City of Lights, and Pink!
#PinkTutuBlogParis Post 866 Saturday 30th July 2016
Bonjour, darlings!
Can you believe itās been a whole week since I touched down in Paris? Itās been a whirlwind of cobblestones, croissants, and, of course, fabulous outfits! The city has truly captured my heart, and I've barely even begun to explore. I wouldn't want to spoil any surprises, so let me rewind a littleā¦
It all started back in Derbyshire. The train journey to London was just as charming as ever ā you know I love a good train journey! Especially with a tutu and a fabulous travel bag filled with ballet flats and enough lipstick for a whole week of adventures.
The Eurostar was a dream, of course, and so very smooth. You all know that itās not only a very efficient mode of transport, itās so romantic and reminiscent of a time gone by, when glamorous people like myself travelled in style. It gets my creativity flowing! You wouldnāt believe how many Instagram-worthy outfits I got away with, right in my comfy carriage. (Did I tell you about the polka-dot dress I found in Londonās vintage district?!).
After arriving in Paris, I knew that the iconic Parisian streets called for a pink tulle dress! Youāll see my stunning look on my Instagram soon! The Parisian girls seem to have their own little dance going onā¦ maybe they could do with a little tutu inspiration?!
Week of Fun and Fashion
The past few days have been a whirlwind! On Tuesday, I took a ballet class at a fantastic studio, Ćcole de Ballet Paris. Oh my! My aching legs still havenāt quite recovered! Let's just say, the Parisian dancers are truly top-notch. It's great to keep up with the locals! Youāll have to watch out for some dance moves and fabulous poses to come from my dance session!
And yesterday? Well, a delightful and truly romantic lunch was had at one of Paris' most charming cafeĢs, Les Deux Magots. It was the perfect excuse to indulge in a delectable croque monsieur, which, I must tell you, tasted so much better while sitting by the cafeĢ's beautiful courtyard. But the highlight of my week? Seeing "Giselle" at the Palais Garnier Opera House! It was breathtakingly beautiful ā the music, the costumes, the incredible artistryā¦ My tutu twirled all night in my dreams!
This weekend, I'm going to be catching the iconic Cancan at the Moulin Rouge, a spectacle not to be missed. Don't you agree? I might even bring along a pair of ruby red dance shoes! Maybe it'll be an even better performance than usual. ;)
A Little Pink Inspiration
There is, of course, the inevitable dose of fashion inspiration in every Parisian shop window. You wouldn't believe how much pink Iāve seen! And I've done some serious window shopping in some of the chic boutiques. Some are full of Parisian chic - there is certainly a "fashion" for pink!
The street performers, I swear, they even seem to have picked up on the pink trend! Just last night I saw a group of acrobats in fuchsia outfits - truly dazzling! Even my croissants came adorned with a touch of pink icing - a detail I couldn't resist. You all know I love a little touch of whimsy in my life, even if it's just on a delicious pastry.
A Little Bit of Romance
Every day, I try to soak in the charm of Paris and embrace all it has to offer. Itās been a constant inspiration, and honestly, it has awakened a romance in me. That āParisian Romanceā. You know the feeling! So you see? Paris really is the city of dreams! Just wait for the photographs on my Instagram account this week, they'll be truly magical and inspire everyone to put on a tutu, I'm sure!
And a Little Note on Funding
Of course, all of this adventure wouldnāt be possible without the hard work and dedication to my ballet. You all know how much my love for the art form inspires everything I do. All of my travels and outfits are supported by my performances, teaching, and other gigs I can pick up! So, thank you for your continuous support, youāre the best readers and followers!
So, darlings, that's all for this week! Join me again next Saturday for more Paris adventures! Au revoir for now!
Yours truly,
Emma
