Pink Tutu Blog: Paris - Post #899

Bonjour mes amis! It's Saturday again, which means it's time for another Parisian adventure, and today I'm bringing you all along with me! I'm feeling absolutely ecstatic to be in the City of Lights - the air here is buzzing with culture and fashion and, as a fellow fashionista, I can't wait to dive right in!

As always, you can expect lots of pink, tutus, and sparkles throughout the week. I'm starting my journey with a delicious pot of coffee in a little cafe near Gare du Nord, the first stop for many arriving in Paris.

Remember the EuroStar? The journey was magical! Whizzing through the English countryside and then into the beautiful French landscape, I was in awe of the rolling hills and charming villages we passed. Honestly, travelling by train is just such a wonderful way to see the world. I highly recommend it to any fellow tutu-wearers looking to explore Europe!

For this Parisian adventure, I'm wearing my signature blush pink tutu, which is perfectly complemented by a classic black blazer, and a pair of adorable cherry blossom-printed flats. After all, Parisian style is all about elegant yet effortless!

My Weekend Itinerary:

Saturday:

My day began with a whirlwind of colour and artistry at the Musée Rodin. Oh, the sculptures! Their beauty was captivating, their expressions so moving. My favourite was "The Kiss" – a stunning embodiment of romance. There was such a graceful harmony between the two figures; I couldn’t help but be inspired! I just had to capture this incredible display in some photographs for the gram – naturally, a few photos were with my trusty pink tutu. (Follow me @PinkTutuBlog!)

Following this, it was onto one of the city's iconic sights – the Louvre! This treasure trove of art truly is a must-see. From Da Vinci’s famous Mona Lisa to the timeless sculptures, there was beauty at every corner.

I made sure to fuel my artistic journey with a lovely Parisian lunch of freshly baked croissants and strong black coffee. As an aspiring ballet dancer, I have to say, the energy here is incredible!

Sunday:

This day, however, is all about ballet! My beloved art form is calling. This evening, I’m going to the Opéra Garnier to see a spectacular production of “Swan Lake” and I'm beyond excited! The iconic stage and breathtaking sets are enough to make any ballet lover swoon. This iconic building is steeped in history and grace - it’s an absolute privilege to experience it first-hand.

Monday:

Now, who could resist a little shopping in Paris? I’m hoping to find some exquisite pink items in the charming boutiques on the Champs-Élysées. A pink beret perhaps? A blush-hued floral print scarf? I’m just dreaming of the possibilities!

Tuesday:

More exploring is on the agenda! I'm going to stroll through the beautiful Tuileries Gardens and be amazed by the ornate Palais Royal. Paris is a city where history and nature meet in perfect harmony. I'll take photos with a beautiful bouquet of fresh Parisian roses. What could be better than that?

Wednesday:

After all the walking, I think a day of relaxing in one of the charming tea rooms will be just what I need. Think elegant decor, delicate sandwiches, and delicious, creamy French tea. Can you picture it? Heaven!

Thursday:

After all this indulgence, it's time for a bit of activity. Today's focus? Discovering the hidden gems of Paris! I've found an enchanting little dance studio that specializes in street ballet - a style that blends graceful movement with urban street beats. I’m eager to join a class and experiment with this unique form of expression.

Friday:

Today is dedicated to fashion and art. I plan to visit the Musée Yves Saint Laurent, to appreciate the extraordinary artistry and innovative creations that changed the world of fashion forever. After all, a tutu is essential for every girl and boy - especially one that inspires the iconic black and white dresses of fashion.

My Aim:

It's my life's mission, you see, to encourage everyone to wear pink tutus, to embrace joy and sparkle and remind the world that the smallest, most delicate things can have the greatest impact.

In my humble opinion, tutus are a symbol of individuality, freedom, and confidence. They're a reminder that life is too short to take yourself too seriously, to be afraid to stand out, to twirl with joy! And let's face it, they're just plain fun!

So, until next week, embrace your inner pink-tutu-wearing ballerina! I’m sending love, sparkles and a million tutus from the City of Lights. Until next Saturday, don't forget to dance your way through life!

XOXO

Emma
