This week I took a whirlwind trip by Eurostar to Paris, squeezing in a whole heap of culture, fashion, and fun in just a few short days. Settle into your plush seat, sip a little tea, and gaze out at the breathtaking English countryside rolling into France – the scenery is truly stunning.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, my love affair with Paris is an absolute given. The French capital oozes a kind of effortless chic that inspires my inner ballerina. From the intricate architecture to the quaint cafes overflowing with charm, it's just divine! Plus, let's be honest, Paris is the absolute best city for fashion lovers like me - with stunning boutiques lining every street corner.
But back to the present – this trip's highlights are simply glorious.
Ballet Beguiled: A Night of Passion at the Opera
As a dedicated dancer, a trip to Paris would never be complete without a visit to the esteemed Opéra Garnier. Now, I must admit, this place left me utterly speechless. This breathtaking opera house is a testament to exquisite beauty. Think intricate chandeliers that glisten with untold sparkle, and a stage fit for royalty – truly captivating. The opera itself? It was magical!
The choreography was stunningly graceful and the costumes were simply exquisite, reminding me of my own ballerina dreams (especially in that beautiful new pink tutu I’d brought – I swear, I just couldn't resist adding it to my collection).

Let’s just say, my Parisian finds are going to look amazing with a hint of pink tutu and ballet chic! My latest obsession? It's not a Paris blog post without a bit of a culinary adventure! Naturally, a trip to Paris wouldn’t be complete without savouring the most exquisite French delicacies. This trip I switched up my usual routine. Think delicate pastries adorned with dainty floral icing, alongside the most amazing cheese board – you can tell I'm totally in heaven right now! Oh, and don’t even get me started on the decadent desserts, the ultimate treat for my sweet tooth.
Dancing in the Streets:
I always enjoy a little Parisian stroll to soak up the city's unique charm. It’s magical wandering through the beautiful Parisian streets, taking in the beautiful views and listening to street performers sharing their talent. On this trip, I stumbled across a ballet class taking place in the Jardin du Luxembourg! Seeing those passionate dancers glide through their movements sparked something within me. The grace and beauty of the dancers reminded me of why I love dancing so much – it's about embracing movement, expressing emotions, and experiencing life through every step.

Paris is more than just a city to me. It's a feeling - one of inspiration, excitement, and endless possibility. It's a place where dreams come alive and I truly believe anything is possible – even convincing everyone in the world to wear a pink tutu!
