Pink Tutu Blog Paris - #908

Saturday 2017-05-20: Paris, je t'aime!

Bonjour mes amis! It’s Emma here, your favourite pink tutu-clad traveller, back from a whirlwind weekend in the City of Lights! And believe me, this Parisian adventure was absolutely divine.

This week, I hopped aboard the EuroStar – always a fun, glamorous way to travel, especially in my favourite blush pink travel ensemble – and sped through the Channel to the City of Love. As usual, I left my Derbyshire home brimming with excitement and fuelled by the sweet anticipation of discovering the latest Parisian fashions and theatrical treats.

A Ballerina's Paradise

This trip was extra special, though. Not only did I catch up with some of my Parisian ballerina friends (always a highlight!), I had the absolute joy of attending the most magnifique ballet show. Held in a truly historic theatre with chandeliers that sparkled like a thousand stars, the show featured some of the most talented dancers I’ve ever seen. The passion, precision, and sheer elegance – it simply took my breath away. Every arabesque, every pirouette, was pure perfection. And guess what? I wore a special tutu just for the occasion. It was a custom-made pink creation, just whispering with romance, with little pearls sprinkled like stars all over it.

Fashion Find - Heaven on Earth

Now, let’s talk about fashion. Paris is, after all, a city that oozes style. And this weekend, I went shopping! You know me, always on the hunt for new ballet-inspired designs. I discovered a quaint little boutique hidden down a charming side street. It was crammed with the most delightful mix of classic elegance and Parisian whimsy – delicate lace, flowing fabrics, and of course, gorgeous shades of pink. I fell in love with a dress – it was a vibrant coral pink, just the shade of a sunrise over the Seine.

Street Art and French Charm

Later in the day, my Parisian friends took me to a marvelous street art exhibition. Seeing such colourful creativity on display made my heart soar. There was so much talent, and it all came together in such a fascinating way. We strolled along cobbled streets, marvelling at the murals and the vibrant artwork that transformed ordinary walls into works of art. And then, we settled for a leisurely lunch, savouring every mouthful of delicious French cuisine. It was so much fun being with my friends, laughing, sharing stories, and absorbing the vibrant energy of Paris. It was truly a reminder of why I love this city so much.

Sharing the Tutu Love

To wrap up my Paris weekend, I stopped by a beautiful bookstore on the Rue de Seine. They had a selection of beautifully bound French poetry books, and the scent of aged paper filled the air – a true delight. But what truly captivated me were the antique ballet posters displayed on the wall. These vibrant, evocative images transported me straight into a ballet performance. And it reminded me of my dream – to share the joy of ballet and the joy of pink tutus with as many people as I can. After all, a pink tutu is more than just an outfit – it's a symbol of freedom, of self-expression, and of embracing your inner ballerina.

So, my dear readers, embrace your inner ballerina – wear a pink tutu, smile at the world, and dance your way through life! Remember, the world is your stage, and every day is a new opportunity to express yourself.

Au revoir for now! See you next week, on www.pink-tutu.com.

Love, Emma xx

P.S. If you are interested, I will be hosting a ballet class back in Derbyshire on Friday. All levels welcome, even beginners! Contact me for details. It will be pink-themed, naturally!
