#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 915 - Bonjour, Paris!

Bonjour mes amis!

It’s Emma, and this is Pink Tutu Blog Paris, post number 915, coming to you live from the most romantic city in the world… PARIS! cue dramatic music and slow-motion spinning.

As always, I’m positively brimming with excitement to share my adventures with you! This week, the Pink Tutu has crossed the Channel and arrived in the City of Lights via Eurostar – I’m truly living my best life, darling!

Just a quick little update before we get into the Parisian thrills: I know you’re all dying to hear about my latest *ballot performances! I recently wowed the Derbyshire crowds with a performance of The Nutcracker with the Matlock Ballet Academy – the snow scene was breathtaking! We got a fantastic review in the local paper (I might even frame it – who needs a “Most Likely To Succeed” trophy from school when you have your own article in the paper, am I right?).

My tutus have certainly earned their keep, funding this trip to Paris! The funds will last long enough for my usual Parisian routines – an indulgent stay in a gorgeous boutique hotel (with an immaculate chandelier in the lobby – and pink bedding!), exploring the incredible museums, dancing until dawn (and even during the day sometimes!) and of course, shopping! Oh, shopping! You know my weaknesses – Parisian fashion boutiques have long held a special place in my heart. But more on that later…

Today, the sun is shining gloriously – a stark contrast to the Derbyshire drizzle that welcomed me just this morning – and Paris is bursting with energy! Today’s agenda is a ballet performance at the iconic Opéra Garnier – I simply cannot wait! We all know I adore a good theatrical show, but something about being in Paris truly enhances the whole experience – even the pigeons seem a little bit more chic. I've heard the Paris Opera Ballet are world-renowned for their spectacular shows and incredible performances, and I simply can't wait to see what they bring to the stage today!

Let's Talk Tutues:

It wouldn’t be Pink Tutu Blog without a special shoutout to my fellow tutu enthusiasts – how’s the pink tulle situation looking over in your neck of the woods? Are you living your best tutued life? The other day I found the most delightful little boutique called “La Boutique de la Tutu” in Notting Hill (such an inspiration!). I walked out with the most dazzling tulle of the most perfect shade of millennial pink – I simply couldn't resist! Let’s all make a pact: to dance in tulle every single day! Together, we shall paint the world pink.

Fashion: le style de Paris

There is just something about French style. It’s effortlessly elegant, chic and with an undeniable flair – a perfect mix of old-world charm and modern, Parisian edge. They just get it – they know how to work a classic little black dress, how to create that perfect Parisian “je ne sais quoi” with a bold scarf or statement jewellery. It’s inspiring, you see? It makes me want to spend days browsing Parisian boutiques – it's the best kind of "research," darling!

As you all know, a girl like me loves a Parisian cafe. You’ll be seeing plenty of outfit posts – Parisian street style has an element of quirk and flair I just adore. I’ll be hunting for the perfect cafe – perhaps with a terrace under the Eiffel Tower, to do a quick #ootd – a truly fabulous Parisian-inspired fashion photoshoot with a stunning Parisian backdrop.

I must say, I think Paris has fallen in love with the Pink Tutu – it gets a lot of attention! Yesterday, I popped into a local bakery for some flaky croissants (the best way to start your day!), and the Parisian baker himself gave me a charming "Bonjour, Mademoiselle! C'est magnifique!" It’s such a good feeling, darling. You simply can’t help but feel radiant wearing pink tulle – it adds an element of playfulness, whimsy and magic to every moment. It makes every trip feel like a dream!

Stay tuned for more of my Parisian escapades – I’ll be bringing you fashion tips, restaurant reviews and so many more Pink Tutu Paris updates throughout the week! And don't forget to follow my Instagram @PinkTutuGirl for real-time Paris photos, updates and, of course, many photos of the beautiful city!

Bisous,

Emma

  • Ballet spelled correctly, but this was intended to be a humorous mistake to sound "pink" and naive!
