Hello lovelies!
It’s Saturday, the sun is shining, and I’m finally in Paris! That’s right, my Parisian adventure has begun, and you know what? I'm twirling with excitement! It’s always such a delight to return to the City of Lights – it's my favourite city in the world. Paris just makes my heart sing, and this time, I’m bringing my trusty pink tutu to every cobblestone street and charming café.
Eurostar Express: A Parisian Prelude
The journey from my home in Derbyshire to Paris was a blissful blur. As always, the Eurostar was an absolute dream. Sipping on my cappuccino and gazing at the English countryside swiftly whizzing by is always so wonderfully relaxing, the perfect start to my Parisian adventure. There’s something about travelling by train that just fills me with such joy – it’s such a romantic way to travel! I felt so inspired, and my Parisian dreams started to blossom in my head.
Ballet Bliss in the City of Lights
The first stop on my itinerary was the Opéra Garnier. Oh, this magnificent building never fails to impress me. It’s an absolute architectural marvel, a triumph of artistry. The magnificent golden staircase, the shimmering chandeliers, and the intricate carvings – it’s pure theatrical magic. This time, I went to see the exquisite Swan Lake – the breathtaking choreography and the incredible athleticism of the dancers simply took my breath away. It's inspiring to see such a talented cast bringing this timeless tale to life!
Tutu-ing Through the Tuileries
After the ballet, it was time for some Parisian sunshine. The Jardin des Tuileries is one of my favourite spots in the entire city. This haven of beauty is so serene, filled with sculptures, fountains, and flowers. It's the perfect place to unwind and soak up the atmosphere. Naturally, I couldn't resist taking a twirl on the grounds! I mean, a pink tutu deserves a dance on the sun-drenched grass of the Tuileries, don’t you think?
Pink Paradise: Shopping Splendour
Okay, let’s talk shopping. Paris is, of course, a paradise for a fashion-loving girl like me. After my ballet and garden stroll, I made my way to the most fabulous vintage boutiques on the Left Bank. The city is brimming with stunning shops and boutiques with vintage treasures from bygone eras. I’m in search of unique pieces, a special one-of-a-kind frock for my Paris wardrobe. I adore browsing through racks and racks of gorgeous clothing. Who knows what little piece of Parisian fashion magic I might unearth! I just have to find a piece that makes my inner ballerina sparkle!
Chez Pierre: A Parisian Feast
The day was perfectly finished with a lovely Parisian dinner at Chez Pierre, one of my favourite French bistros. I devoured a decadent creamy onion soup followed by the most delicate fish of the day, washed down with a lovely glass of Chablis. I just love the charming Parisian ambiance, the friendly service, and the perfectly prepared food. Chez Pierre always delivers the ultimate Parisian experience!
Weekends in Paris: A Pink Tutu Guide
