Bonjour mes amies! It's your favourite pink-tutu-clad ballerina, Emma, and I'm positively beaming from the City of Lights! 🗼 This week, I hopped on the Eurostar from my Derbyshire home, leaving the rolling hills behind for the chic streets of Paris. Oh, the joy of travelling by train! Watching the countryside whiz by as I sip my Earl Grey and admire the ever-changing scenery is simply delightful. I do love my ballet shows, but sometimes the train journey is the best part of the adventure!
This time in Paris, I'm going full-on pink tutu glam – it's a colour that screams Parisian chic to me. It's hard to be a pink tutu wearing ballet blogger and NOT fall head over heels for the City of Lights. After all, pink is the ultimate symbol of femininity and grace - and who wouldn't love to feel those qualities radiating as they twirl their way through the stunning Parisian streets? Speaking of twirling, the city is bursting with ballet performances. I can't wait to take in a show at the Opera Garnier - it's an iconic theatre I've dreamed of seeing for years.

A Day of Indulgence at Galeries Lafayette 🛍️
Every fashionista knows that no Parisian adventure is complete without a pilgrimage to Galeries Lafayette. The sheer grandeur of the building alone is enough to send a shiver of delight down your spine, and the selection of luxury brands will leave you utterly giddy! I'm picturing myself twirling in a floaty tulle skirt from Chloe or sporting a chic new ballet-inspired look from Balmain. I just know I'll find a gorgeous new outfit, perfectly pink, to make heads turn at the Opera Garnier tonight!
Dinner at Le Jules Verne with a View 🥂
As the sun sets over Paris, I'm indulging in a decadent meal with a view to die for! Le Jules Verne, perched on the top floor of the Eiffel Tower, offers a culinary and visual feast that I can't wait to savour. Imagine, champagne flutes clinking, the twinkling lights of the city illuminating the night sky... pure romance! And who knows, maybe I'll even pull a pirouette or two at our table! 🩰✨
Ballet at the Opera Garnier 🎭
This evening, I'll be stepping back in time at the opulent Opera Garnier, the perfect venue for an enchanting ballet performance. I imagine the grand staircases bustling with chic Parisians in their evening attire, and I'm just brimming with excitement. The costumes, the music, the dancing…it's an experience that promises to ignite my imagination and send me into a dreamy state of ballet bliss.
Exploring the Heart of the City: A Tutu-licious Walk 🚶♀️
Of course, no visit to Paris would be complete without exploring the charming side streets. My pink tutu will be leading the way, twirling past historic landmarks, art galleries, and chic boutiques. A croissant and a cup of coffee in a cosy cafe is on the agenda too - who needs breakfast at Tiffany's when you can have breakfast in Paris?! 🥐☕
A Parisian Picnic in the Jardin du Luxembourg 🧺
A picnic in the tranquil Jardin du Luxembourg feels absolutely quintessential Parisian! Picture me sprawled out on the grass in the sunshine, enjoying some homemade treats and watching the children play. The beauty and peace of this park will be the perfect way to relax after a busy day of shopping and sightseeing. Plus, I think the delicate beauty of this garden perfectly matches the delicate grace of a ballerina.
From Parisian Dream to Everyday Bliss
You know, even though I spend a lot of my time exploring faraway cities and taking in breathtaking ballet performances, the simple things in life still make me happy. There's nothing quite like a cup of tea in the morning, listening to a new ballet track, or twirling in my tutu around my apartment – a perfect reminder of how much I truly love this pink, twirling life!
