Bonjour mes amis! It's Saturday, and you know what that means... it's time for another Pink Tutu Paris blog post!
This week, I'm absolutely buzzing because I've just returned from a whirlwind trip to the most magical city in the world - Paris! I swear, my heart skipped a beat every time I saw the Eiffel Tower glittering against the dusk sky. And, of course, I had to capture it all in my trusty pink tutu. 🩰
It's been a dream of mine to visit Paris ever since I was a little girl, glued to the telly watching the gorgeous costumes on the ballerinas in the Royal Ballet's "Sleeping Beauty". Now, it's no secret I love a bit of twirling, and what better place to embrace your inner ballerina than in the very city that brought ballet to the world?!
The trip started with a smooth and stylish journey on the EuroStar, the fastest way to get from Derbyshire to Paris. It's truly a sight to behold, especially with my new fluffy pink suitcase! 🧳 Imagine all the looks I was getting at St. Pancras Station with my tulle and sparkles! 😄
This trip was all about living the Parisian dream. So, after a lovely cup of French coffee (no British tea for me this time!), it was off to explore the gorgeous streets. The sheer grandeur of the city, the cute cafes and the quaint cobbled lanes - they just made me want to bust out some graceful ballet moves! 💃
This Saturday, 6th January 2018, saw the start of the Epiphany celebrations! Imagine: the most gorgeous patisseries displaying delicious galettes des rois - flaky pastry tarts with hidden treasures inside! It truly felt like I was stepping into a fairytale! ✨
The next day, it was all about indulgence. My morning began with a class at the esteemed Paris Opera Ballet - you know I just had to try it! It was an absolutely incredible experience, to feel the energy of such a legendary school, to learn from some of the most incredible instructors in the world. You could feel the passion and the love for the artform in every step we took.
Of course, my Parisian adventure wouldn't be complete without some serious shopping! From Chanel and Dior to smaller boutique finds, the streets of Paris offer an irresistible fashion playground. I snagged a beautiful Parisian-style beret with a delicate feather embellishment, and let's be honest - how could I leave without a fabulous, bright pink baguette charm for my handbag?! 👜
But you know what else made this trip extra special? Seeing "The Nutcracker" at the legendary Palais Garnier. The atmosphere was electric! It felt like magic watching the incredible dancers, adorned in glittering costumes, bringing the story of Clara to life. It was the perfect end to my dream Parisian escapade.
