#PinkTutuBlogParis: Ooh La La Paris! (Post #942)

Bonjour mes amis! It's Saturday, which means it's time for my weekly Pink Tutu blog! This week, I’m bursting with Parisian excitement. I'm in the city of lights! Imagine: me, Emma, the pink tutu queen, gliding through Paris! It's all so romantic and elegant.

I’ve just hopped off the EuroStar, and you know me, I didn’t let a moment pass before getting myself all decked out in my most fabulous pink outfit! It was a little tricky getting my tutu past the security check, but they’re surprisingly used to my antics by now! I’ve managed to score a beautiful pale pink tutu this time - it has lovely little rosettes around the waist, very Parisian. It matches my blush pink blouse perfectly.

And you know what? It felt amazing stepping off the train and straight into the Parisian atmosphere. It's the kind of atmosphere where wearing pink isn't just allowed, it’s embraced! I just wanted to twirl down the Champs-Élysées and let out a joyful shriek!

Today's blog post is all about embracing the excitement of Paris. And let's be honest, it's all about embracing the pink! My day started in style, I booked myself into one of the most lovely hotel suites – just me and my darling pink tutu, ready for a full Parisian day.

This trip has been funded by some lovely performances – I’ve been lucky enough to have had a few bookings recently at local theatres, the proceeds have allowed me to splash out a little this trip! Paris is a haven for ballerinas. It’s all about elegant lines, romantic steps and a little bit of magic. And it doesn’t hurt to be draped in exquisite French fabrics!

Before anything else, I couldn't resist treating myself to a fabulous pink Macaron – all delicate, pale pink and beautifully formed. I had to, I mean, pink is life, right? I made sure to post the image onto Instagram, of course!

And talking about pink, did you see my latest tutu-themed dress? It’s made of gorgeous silk – it’s a blush pink that changes colour with the light – absolutely magical. It is destined to be my "Pink Paris Dream" outfit for all my exciting Paris plans this weekend.

I plan to be a serious ballerina during this Paris trip! I’m already enrolled in an amazing masterclass, I think the teacher’s a star! The studio itself is beautiful; gorgeous arched windows, mirrored walls and an incredible parquet floor. I even had a mini photo shoot in the waiting area – a couple of gorgeous Instagram-worthy shots are on their way! It was almost worth travelling the world for a perfect shot, if I do say so myself!

And my Parisian Ballet experience hasn’t ended there! Tonight, I’ve booked myself tickets to see the iconic Ballet Opéra, it's “Giselle”. I couldn’t go to Paris without it, could I? I’m thinking I might even incorporate a little of the “Giselle” style into my own ballet performance. Perhaps a beautiful flowing pink gown? Imagine, an elegant tutu, flowing gown, maybe a feathered fan and those perfectly pointed shoes…. My, the potential is exciting! I am ready to take it all in, every exquisite move, the beautifully staged set, the dazzling costumes - It will be sheer ballet bliss! I’ve also added the perfect touch – I bought myself a pretty pink programme to remind me of the whole evening.

You may know I love to go to theatre and other performing arts, it's in my blood. I love to look around at the costumes – the sparkle and the design are so impressive. I've been following a fabulous French ballet dancer, Chloe, who’s making her debut in the city tonight! It seems she's quite well known – I even managed to sneak a selfie with her backstage. We were both twirling away – just a couple of girls loving ballet! That picture is bound to be going on Instagram soon too!

Naturally, after the show, there was only one thing to do – Parisian shopping! I love wandering around the pretty, stylish Parisian boutiques – they have the most exquisite and stylish fashion! It really does live up to its reputation! The streets are just bursting with gorgeous pink accessories! After all, my motto is "pink for every occasion"! I even picked up a fabulous beret - I mean who can resist the Parisian beret?!

I even picked up some ballet themed gifts. There are some lovely delicate pieces of jewellery – a lovely swan shaped necklace that would look stunning with my ballet attire. I mean I might need to purchase one, as it's perfect for me, no? And then there's a stunning silk scarf, covered in Parisian ballet shoes. How utterly delightful! It’ll definitely make its way to the blog as an accessory for one of my future dance moves! And to top off the day, a little French pâtisserie! I’m obsessed! It's delicate and scrumptious, the perfect end to an absolutely perfect day.

This evening is already set to be as delightful as today! Tonight's plan is dinner, dancing, and hopefully a glass or two of something sparkly pink – pink cocktails are all the rage at the moment – oh la la! You’ll find me dressed in my newest tutu – oh la la! And who knows, if we’re lucky, we might be able to catch a couple of performances before the evening is over. After all, who needs sleep, when Paris calls?

Stay tuned my dear friends! The #PinkTutuBlogParis saga is just beginning and it's going to be a fabulous one. Until next week - have a fabulous pink Saturday! Don’t forget to check my blog, www.pink-tutu.com, for my post next Saturday! Ciao!
