Paris, mon amour! - Pink Tutu Blog Post #959

Bonjour mes chéries!

The Eurostar hurtled me through the French countryside towards Paris, my heart pounding with excitement like a well-rehearsed pas de bourrée. It was time for a Parisian adventure and I knew just the tutu to wear: a shimmering blush pink confection with a sequined bodice and fluffy layers of tulle. Let's face it, a girl can never have too many tutus, and what better place to show one off than the City of Lights?

As the train pulled into Gare du Nord, I practically skipped onto the platform. The air was alive with the sounds of the city, the smells of pastries and coffee, and a sense of Parisian joie de vivre that was almost tangible. I knew this was going to be a magical weekend!

My first stop? The iconic Galeries Lafayette! A grand dame of a department store, it's an architectural marvel that feels like a palace, with ornate ceilings and shimmering glasswork. And of course, their fashion section is heaven on earth, with rails upon rails of clothes that made my sartorial heart sing.

My goal was simple: to find the perfect Parisian dress. I imagined a delicate floral print with a nipped waist and a flowing skirt that would twirl just right for an evening at the theatre. And I wasn't disappointed! I found the most charming sundress, with little white polka dots on a light blue background, perfect for my evening outing. I'd pair it with my blush pink ballet pumps, of course, and a touch of sparkly pink lipstick for a touch of Parisian flair.

Next on the agenda was a little treat for my inner ballerina. A visit to the Palais Garnier, home of the Paris Opera Ballet was a must. I was lucky enough to snag a ticket to see the final performance of a gorgeous production of Swan Lake, featuring a prima ballerina with incredible strength and elegance. The performance was breathtaking; I swear I even felt the floor vibrate with the dancers' energy! Afterward, I felt utterly inspired and filled with that pure, joyful energy that only ballet can provide.

Later that evening, I indulged in the Parisian night with dinner at a small, romantic bistro near the Seine. I had the most delightful croque monsieur, paired with a glass of French wine and the gentle sound of accordion music. As I gazed at the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower, I couldn't help but feel a profound sense of happiness and gratitude for this wonderful trip.

You know, I've learned something about Paris this weekend - it's a city that celebrates every type of beauty, every form of artistry, and most importantly, every form of self-expression. It's a city where you can dance in a tutu without a single judgement, and a place where you can embrace the colour pink with pride. And frankly, my darlings, isn't that just perfect?

My Paris adventure is far from over, and I'm already dreaming of the next exciting day!

Stay tuned for more pink-tutu-filled adventures, my loves. Don't forget to visit the **www.pink-tutu.com website for new posts every Saturday!

**Bisous,

P.S. If you're in Paris and happen to see a girl twirling in a blush pink tutu, it might just be me! Feel free to say hello. And if you're thinking about taking a trip to Paris yourself, do it! You won't regret it.
