Pink Tutu Paris: #960 - Bonjour from the City of Lights!

Bonjour, darlings! It's Emma, your pink tutu-clad ballerina, and I'm so excited to be bringing you my Parisian adventures! I just couldn't resist another jaunt to this enchanting city, the home of fashion, beauty, and the most wonderful ballet productions.

EuroStar Bliss

My journey began, as it always does when travelling from my little corner of Derbyshire to the continent, on the EuroStar. I adore those sleek, modern trains - it's the perfect opportunity to slip into my latest vintage frock (a darling rose-print number with a delicate lace collar!) and spend the time sipping tea and watching the English countryside disappear. There's something about the journey itself that puts me in a Parisian mood!

The City of Love, Pink, and Tutu

Stepping onto the platform at Gare du Nord was pure magic, as always. The scent of croissants wafting from the nearby boulangerie, the charming, chaotic energy of the streets...Paris really does have this irresistible pull!

The first thing on my agenda, of course, was a detour to the Galeries Lafayette to indulge in some Parisian fashion therapy. You just can't resist a little bit of retail therapy when you're surrounded by such gorgeous, exquisitely made clothing! I was absolutely smitten with a powder-pink silk dress, the epitome of Parisian chic. Imagine me twirling down the Champs-Elysees in this darling dress, my pink tutu billowing behind me like a ballet dancer!

Ballet Brilliance

No Parisian trip is complete without an immersion in the world of ballet! This weekend I was thrilled to see "La Bayadère" at the Palais Garnier, and my, what an absolute treat it was! The costumes, the music, the dazzling dancers – everything was absolutely breathtaking. There's simply nothing like seeing live ballet; it fills your heart with such beauty and joy.

Street Style & Parisian Panache

During my strolls around the city, I took a moment to soak in the amazing Parisian street style. I’m in awe of their confidence and nonchalant grace. It seems every woman, from the teenage skater girls to the sophisticated ladies in chic hats, carries themselves with an effortless chic that is both charming and inspiring. Don’t get me wrong, it doesn't stop me from whipping out my little pink camera and taking pictures of everyone who looks even remotely interesting, all the while giggling to myself and feeling inspired!

Pink Tutu Parisian Moments

As a reminder to you all - pink is truly a universal language. I have always said that a little bit of pink is all you need to brighten your day. While strutting my stuff in my pink tutu around Paris, I noticed the locals are definitely embracing pink. A beautiful Frenchwoman with perfectly tousled hair wearing a blush-pink trench coat, a charming Parisian boy sporting a bright pink scarf… There’s an undeniable magic about pink!

I spent my evening, after my ballet escapades and my explorations of the city's fascinating and fashionable streets, wandering around the Latin Quarter. There's always such a vibrant, artistic atmosphere there! There was even a young couple, seemingly quite enamored with each other, performing some impromptu ballet on a cobblestone street under the gentle Parisian twilight.

It wouldn't be a Parisian Saturday without a spot of fine dining! I savoured a delicious French feast, naturally paired with some chilled French rosé.

This trip, like all of my previous ones to Paris, has been a celebration of everything beautiful: the stunning architecture, the exquisite food, the dazzling ballet performances, and, of course, the oh-so-stylish Parisian fashion!

*Stay tuned, darling, for more pink Parisian adventures in next week’s blog post! Until then, remember: *

Wear pink, wear a tutu, and dance your heart out!

Emma xxx
