Bonjour mes amis! 👋 This is your pink tutu girl, Emma, reporting from the City of Lights, Paris! I’m bursting with excitement to share all the wonderful experiences I’ve had so far on this Parisian adventure.
This week, as you know, it’s my weekly Paris blog post, and let me tell you, the journey itself was an absolute dream. After packing my trusty pink tutu (of course!), I zipped over on the Eurostar from Derbyshire. You just can't beat those high-speed trains for travelling through Europe!
For those of you who don’t know, this Parisian escapade is being funded by my performances – lots of gorgeous dancing that’s earning me my tutu-tiful travel adventures. I mean, you’d be surprised how much demand there is for pink tutu ballet! 🩰
Anyway, arriving in Paris on Friday was just magical. Everything about the city feels glamorous and exciting. Just walking through the streets, admiring the architecture, I could practically feel a Parisian romance blossoming. And the streets, oh my! Those charming cobbled lanes, cafes brimming with laughter, and little boutique windows filled with designer outfits… it’s just beyond enchanting. 💖
Of course, the first thing I did after arriving at the hotel was try on my pink tutu and do a little twirl in the room. Nothing quite beats a Parisian twirl in your very own pink tutu! 😉
Speaking of pink, Paris has really lived up to its reputation for being the most fashion-forward city on earth! It's all about Parisian chic, but don’t let that fool you, there’s enough sparkle to satisfy even the most extravagant glitter-loving tutu-ista. I'm just buzzing to share some of the treasures I’ve unearthed. 💎
And then there’s the food… my oh my, the food! I’ve been having a little culinary adventure of my own, exploring all the beautiful cafes and bistros Paris has to offer. My tastebuds have been tangoing with joy - think fresh bread, delicious cheeses, flaky croissants, and the most perfect, steaming hot mugs of French coffee. 🥐 ☕️ It’s no wonder I’m a little bit addicted to French cuisine. (Maybe it’s the Parisian romance and the pink tutu combo! 😉 )
Now, Saturday, and I'm ready to experience the Parisian magic on a day of exploring!
*Here’s what’s happening today… *
- Morning: Coffee and Pastries in a Parisian cafe
No Parisian experience would be complete without a morning of leisurely enjoying a croissant and a café au lait, or perhaps a pain au chocolat! So today I’m heading to the quaintest little cafe nestled in the cobblestone streets. I’ve already been admiring this charming place all week – the tiny pink floral blooms cascading around the cafe’s window are irresistible.
- Afternoon: Ballet Performance – The Beauty of “La Bayadère"
Paris is renowned for its world-class ballet, so today I'm stepping into the magic of "La Bayadère" at the legendary Palais Garnier Opera House. I’ve already bought a beautiful pink ballet dress (it has sequins! 💎) for the performance, because after all, ballet needs some pink, right?
The beauty of the ballet’s classical dance choreography, set against a dramatic backdrop of opulent palaces, captivating choreography, and thrilling dramatic plots promises to be utterly magical. I’ve read that “La Bayadère” has captivated audiences worldwide since its creation in the 19th century, so it will definitely be a memory I’ll be cherishing! 🩰
- Evening: Dinner & a Twirl – Parisian Style!
After a mesmerising performance, it's time for an enchanting dinner with a view of the Eiffel Tower, a symphony of delicious French dishes paired with some delicious French wines. The Parisian sky twinkles, a spectacular background to a twirl in my pink tutu.
It’s truly a pink tutu dream come true – I’ve been wanting to do a dance on the steps of the Eiffel Tower forever!
