#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 2018-09-15 Exploring Paris

Bonjour, Mon Chéri! #PinkTutuBlogParis Post 977: A Parisian Pink Dream!

Hello my darlings! Welcome to another week of Parisian adventures, straight from your favourite pink-tutu wearing blogger. Today, it's a very special Saturday, as it's been exactly one week since I arrived in the City of Lights! And what a week it's been...

Now, let me tell you, the EuroStar journey over was pure enchantment. Imagine: plush seats, delicious French pastries (I snuck in a few extra croissants!), and the landscape whipping by. I just closed my eyes and imagined myself dancing in the fields, tutu twirling in the breeze. Truly magical!

I must confess, the excitement of arriving in Paris almost overwhelmed me. My suitcase overflowed with the most delightful pink tulle creations, because you know, darling, one can never have too many tutus. (Just imagine, a pink tutu with an Eiffel Tower print... divine!)

My first order of business, obviously, was finding the perfect spot for my obligatory #PinkTutuParis photoshoot. I waltzed through the cobbled streets, admiring the romantic architecture, until I stumbled upon a darling little café called La Belle Époque. I couldn't resist a few spins beneath their pretty floral awnings!

Next on my Parisian itinerary: a trip to the legendary Galeries Lafayette. Honestly, I was in my element! Think rows and rows of designer dresses, shimmering shoes, and oh, the handbags... a veritable heaven of haute couture! I confess, a little (very adorable!) pink feather boa ended up in my bag. It was irresistible.

My evenings were dedicated to the Parisian theatre. The sheer grandeur of the Palais Garnier opera house took my breath away, and the performance of Swan Lake was a dream come true. The ballet was perfection – each pirouette and grand jeté made me yearn to be back on stage. I spent the whole time dreaming of one day dancing there, tutu and all, for a full house.

Sunday brought a delightful adventure to the Musée d'Orsay. I found myself totally entranced by the Impressionist masterpieces, and just had to recreate my favourite Monet painting with my pink tutu, naturally! It was the perfect photo op. The museum, itself, is so romantic – with the exposed ironwork and all those beautiful paintings... It felt like stepping into a timeless fairytale.

This week I also discovered a fantastic vintage store, where I found the most divine 1920s-style hat with a pink feather embellishment. (I mean, pink is practically a Parisian essential, wouldn't you say?) It perfectly completed my Parisian chic ensemble for a picnic at the Jardin du Luxembourg. And oh, the food – delicious crêpes and crusty bread - what more could a girl ask for?

Tuesday was the highlight of the week - the famed Parisian Ballet Class! It was so much fun, from the perfectly polished parquet floor to the exquisite, delicate movements. And the camaraderie of all the dancers, dressed in their beautiful leotards and tutus (did I mention tutus?), was infectious.

Now, I'll admit, all this ballet and dancing worked up an appetite, so we dined at a charming bistro, Le Bistrot du Marais. We ordered the famous onion soup, the richest, most flavorful I've ever tasted, followed by a melt-in-your-mouth steak. Truly divine.

Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without a romantic walk along the Seine. The lights of the Eiffel Tower twinkled like diamonds in the evening sky, and the Parisian breeze carried the sweet aroma of crêpes. I simply had to spin around, tutu whirling like a fairy's wings. (Imagine how beautiful it looked! I might just post that on Instagram for you!)

So, as you can see, my dear readers, Paris is everything I dreamed of. The food, the fashion, the culture, the beauty… it all truly captivates. I feel as if I'm living in a charming film.

As for the question that's been buzzing in my head all week: Do Parisians embrace the pink tutu as a fashionable statement? Well, the jury's still out, my dear, but I've spotted a few chic Parisian ladies with subtle hints of pink here and there, so I remain optimistic. Who knows? Perhaps this trip will spark a pink tutu revolution!

Now, I must bid you adieu. Until next week, my dears, continue spreading the joy and grace of pink tutus, wherever you may roam!

Bisous!

Emma
