Let me paint a picture for you. I'm sitting in my Parisian hotel room, the scent of fresh croissants wafting through the window. Sunlight is pouring in, painting the walls in a warm, rosy glow. As I look out, the bustling streets below seem to whisper stories of history and romance, and just beyond, the iconic Eiffel Tower stands majestically, glittering like a diamond in the morning light. This is pure magic!
Paris, Here We Come!
You know me, always looking for adventure! This time, I swapped Derbyshire’s green hills for the bustling charm of Paris. I boarded the Eurostar, all excited for this Parisian escapade, and after a swish through the Channel Tunnel, I arrived in Paris, feeling like I was stepping straight out of a romantic novel. The Parisian air feels electric with excitement and the sheer energy of this captivating city is infectious.
My latest travel project involves documenting my love for ballet while exploring the world. I figured what better place to start than the home of iconic ballet, Paris? And who better to bring the magic than your favourite tutu-wearing explorer? I mean, who can resist a touch of pink in Paris? Certainly not this little pink-loving ballerina!
Dancing Through Paris
This weekend has been a whirlwind of balletic wonder! My journey began with a private class at the Opéra Garnier, one of the most prestigious dance schools in the world! Just imagine, taking class in the shadow of the grand opera house, history echoing in every step, feeling the legacy of ballet legends dancing through your veins. It was truly inspiring, and it even encouraged me to push myself further than I thought possible!
Then came the big highlight - seeing "Giselle" at the Palais Garnier! I can still hear the delicate thrum of the strings, the breathtaking pirouettes, the emotion captured in every gesture... The costumes were breathtaking, the stage alive with colour and movement. It was a sheer feast for the senses! And let’s not forget, pink is a very powerful color on stage - especially on tulle tutus. It’s magical! I loved the tutus the ballerinas were wearing – such an iconic element of a ballet performance!

Of course, my Paris escapade couldn’t be complete without a touch of pink-tutu-filled Parisian shopping! I was particularly excited to discover Printemps Haussmann, this Parisian department store filled with beautiful things! I lost myself in the racks, finding gorgeous, pastel-coloured silk scarves and delightful Parisian-inspired accessories – everything perfect for a little pink ballerina like me. And how could I forget about shoes! I found the most gorgeous, ballet-inspired shoes in pink, of course! They perfectly captured the Parisian chic with a ballerina twist.
You've heard about French girls being so chic, well, there's nothing like wandering through Parisian streets looking fabulous, feeling confident, and channeling that effortless Parisian style. And trust me, it's always a bonus to wear a touch of pink. It just adds a bit of Parisian magic to your day! Don’t worry, my sweet darlings! Pink and Pinker in Paris!
Paris is all about the beauty of everyday living, about soaking in the atmosphere and embracing the charm of the moment. And for me, that means strolling along the Seine, admiring the views, sipping coffee at a charming café, and of course, dreaming about tutus! I also found a stunning pink, Parisian hat with tulle. It’s just what I need to embrace the magic of Paris. It really added some sparkle to my shopping bag and, naturally, to my Instagram feed! It also pairs perfectly with a pair of ballerina pink flats!
As I end this Parisian escapade, I can't help but feel inspired. This trip, it’s about taking inspiration from every corner, every little detail that makes Paris unique – and bringing it back with me to my blog, to my readers, to my life! The most important message I'm spreading is that confidence comes from embracing your unique self – no matter what people think, it's ok to be bold and it’s ok to be you, with a big dollop of pink in your heart, even if you wear a tutu every single day.
