Bonjour from Paris, my darling tutu lovers! It’s Emma here, your resident pink tutu wearing, ballet-obsessed travel blogger. I’m so excited to be in the City of Lights, the epitome of romance, fashion and culture. And guess what? I'm not alone - I've got my trusty pink tutu and my brand new Parisian-chic pink beret in tow!
I know, you're probably thinking “Emma, why a beret in Paris?!” Well, darling, if you're a girl like me, you know that a beret isn't just a hat - it's a statement, an attitude! And Paris deserves an extra dose of pink tutu sparkle, don't you think?
I arrived yesterday via Eurostar, my favourite mode of transport, let's be honest - it’s just so chic and efficient, like a mini-adventure itself. The smooth journey allowed me to get myself organised for a whirlwind weekend.
My trip is funded, as always, by the beautiful magic of ballet. This week, I performed in a delightful production of ‘Sleeping Beauty’ at The Derby Theatre, bringing the delicate grace of Princess Aurora to life, of course, in a sparkling, shimmering pink tutu! I must say, the performance went down a treat with the audience, and it fills my heart with so much joy to share my passion for dance with others.
A Little About This Weekend
This weekend in Paris is all about immersing myself in the heart of everything this fabulous city offers! Here's what I'm up to:
- Paris Opera Ballet - On Saturday evening, I'll be at the prestigious Palais Garnier, experiencing the breathtaking talent of the Paris Opera Ballet. Can't wait to be mesmerised by their artistry!
- Shopping for Fashion and Inspiration - Let's face it, I simply cannot be in Paris without exploring its incredible boutiques and indulging in a little retail therapy. I've got my eyes on a charming little dress boutique with the most beautiful colours – a true Parisian fashion dream.
- Discovering New Dance Schools - This wouldn't be a proper Emma-in-Paris experience without discovering a new dance studio, wouldn't it? My heart flutters at the thought of getting a feel for Parisian ballet teaching. Who knows? I might even get lucky enough to spot some rising ballet stars.
The Pink Tutu Legacy: Spreading the Joy in Paris
Paris is definitely a city of pink, from the blooming rose bushes to the quaint patisseries with their charming displays. And what goes better with pink than... you guessed it... a pink tutu! I'm ready to spread the pink tutu love, darling! I've already had some lovely encounters, from a couple taking a photo in front of the Eiffel Tower, where I insisted they posed with my pink tutu, to a group of girls admiring my bright pink beret. I’m making it my mission to encourage everyone to wear a pink tutu! After all, a little bit of pink sparkle brightens everyone’s day!
Food, Fashion & Frolic - A Parisian Daydream
Oh, Paris! Where else can you enjoy a delectable croissant under the watchful eye of the Eiffel Tower and then stroll down a cobbled street adorned with street art, all while indulging in a decadent crepe with a perfect view?
I have a feeling that every day here will be an exciting chapter in my Parisian adventures. From trying local delicacies like "escargots" (let's hope they're more tempting than they sound!) to indulging in creamy coffee and Parisian cakes, the food in this city is simply divine. Every bite feels like a magical taste of history, tradition, and, of course, utter deliciousness!
I'm absolutely smitten with the fashion in Paris. It's an eclectic mix of timeless classics and bold, creative trends. Every shop window seems to be a runway show, bursting with style and imagination! I can't wait to get myself a fabulous new Parisian-style outfit – something a bit more sophisticated than my usual Derbyshire looks!
