Hello darlings! It's Emma here, back with another post from the magical City of Lights, Paris! How are you all doing this beautiful Saturday morning? Iām just back in my adorable little Parisian hotel room, sipping a steaming cup of Earl Grey tea, my fluffy pink tutu swishing about my ankles as I write, feeling so full of Parisian joie de vivre!
Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? Itās been such an utterly delightful whirlwind of a few days, and I'm bursting to tell you all about it!
As you know, my lovely pink tutu-loving friends, I live for travelling by train, and thereās nothing quite like the excitement of boarding the Eurostar, especially when itās heading to Paris! This journey just feels like stepping into a fairytale, a luxurious carriage whisking you away to a world of romance and enchantment. My pink tutu twirled in the perfect rhythm with the rhythmic clickety-clack of the train on the tracks. I know what you're thinking ā āPink tutu on the train? Emma, you're bonkers!ā But let me tell you, a pink tutu always elevates any journey! It's about adding a little sprinkle of magic to the everyday, and honestly, thatās my whole philosophy in life!
So, darling friends, if you haven't yet had the pleasure of discovering the exquisite magic of a Eurostar trip, put it on your travel list, especially when it takes you to Paris. Honestly, even if you were wearing just a plain, ordinary, drab outfit, a few moments spent on a Eurostar are guaranteed to fill your heart with joy. But, I digressā¦ letās get back to my Parisian adventures.
Shopping and Style: Oh, the Dreams!
First things first: the shops, oh my heavens! This city is a treasure trove for a girly girl like me! The boutiques, the ateliers, the department storesā¦ everywhere you turn thereās a new beautiful outfit beckoning. Itās so easy to lose track of time (and money!) when you're surrounded by such stunning designs.
I mean, you know me: all pink everything! I'm obsessed with finding the perfect shade of pink - there are so many subtle differences ā from delicate blush to vibrant fuchsia!
Yesterday, I found the most exquisite little boutique nestled on a cobblestoned side street, bursting with the most beautiful Parisian fashion. It felt like stepping into a fairy tale ā lace, ruffles, sequins, oh, it was pure heaven! My shopping bag is full of pink wonders ā a tulle skirt with layers and layers of frills, the perfect pair of bright pink leather pumps to add a bit of French flair to my outfits, a stunningly silky pink scarf and a couple of whimsical pink headbands to really embrace the Parisian charm.
The joy of exploring Paris for fashion is that there is no wrong choice, as long as it makes you feel happy and empowered, and I always leave Paris a little bit more sparkly!
Ballet Bliss!
Of course, being in the City of Lights wouldn't be complete without a trip to the ballet! Oh my, the dancers are just exquisite, a beautiful whirlwind of elegance and grace. It fills my heart with joy to see the skill and artistry. I can't help but get a bit misty eyed when they reach the final poses ā they simply have it all: grace, power, and elegance! I feel so lucky to be able to witness this beautiful artform in one of the worldās greatest ballet cities. Itās pure inspiration, reminding me why I love to wear tutus ā they're like tiny little reminders to be bold, joyful, and to dance your way through life. I left the theatre with a feeling of exhilaration, a bit of star-dust, and an irresistible urge to practice my pirouettes!
Street Entertainment: The Beat Goes On!
Thereās something wonderfully vibrant about Paris's streets - the street artists, the musicians, the lively conversations, even the pigeons seem more stylish here! Itās the kind of energy that keeps me inspired. One of the coolest things I saw was a group of ballerinas, not in a theatre but right there on the sidewalk, performing a modern ballet routine in their street wear. I couldnāt help but grab my phone and record a little video to share with all of you, as it reminded me that ballet can be everywhere! You just need to keep an eye out for those beautiful moments and seize the opportunity to enjoy it. It just makes you feel like Paris is dancing with you!
Foodie Finds: From Pastry Perfection to Cozy CafƩs
The food here! Honestly, Paris knows how to indulge your senses! My dear readers, you have to try a Parisienne macaron - the soft, delicate cookie filled with the most divine, almost cloud-like creamā¦ truly exquisite! And the French pastries! I haven't had this many flaky, sugary, melt-in-your-mouth creations in my entire life! The bakeries here are absolutely overflowing with mouthwatering treats! My afternoon treat has to be a pain au chocolat with my cafĆ© au lait! Itās simply divine. And no Parisian adventure would be complete without a stroll around a Parisian market! Itās like a visual feast. All the colourful fruits, vegetables, flowers, the delicious cheese and baked goods, all nestled beautifully, waiting for someone to take them home. It truly makes your heart sing. And you just know the food is fresh, because the stall holders, who work tirelessly to present their beautiful wares, clearly take immense pride in their products.
Day 1034 - Parisian Magic is Everywhere!
My trip to Paris has been so much more than just a beautiful experience - itās filled my heart with inspiration! Iāve come to realise that every day can be an adventure. We can all embrace our individuality, just like my tutu! Itās about choosing to be bright, cheerful and just a little bit outrageous, like wearing a pink tutu to the bakery, a restaurant or even to see a show.
Today, weāre off to Montmartre to check out the SacrĆ©-Coeur Basilica. This truly stunning structure with the stunning panoramic views just have to be seen!
