Paris, Je T’aime! #PinkTutuBlogParis - Post #1039

Bonjour, my darling darlings! It's Emma here, your friendly neighbourhood pink tutu-clad ballerina, writing to you from the most romantic city in the world: Paris!

This week, I took the EuroStar for a whirlwind weekend in the City of Lights. Now, I know what you're thinking - isn't it a bit cold for tutus in November? Well, darling, the answer is a resounding NO! A pink tutu, worn with confidence and a sprinkle of Parisian chic, is the perfect outfit for any season. (Especially when paired with a fabulous cashmere coat, natch.)

This week's post is all about celebrating Paris and, of course, embracing all things pink, sparkly, and tutu-rific! I packed my trusty pink tutu suitcase, full of all the essentials - you know, pink velvet headbands, delicate ballet flats, and my collection of fabulous tutus (there's no such thing as too many, my dears!).

First stop: The Opéra Garnier

No trip to Paris is complete without a visit to the magnificent Opéra Garnier. I must say, even I, a seasoned tutu-wearer, was taken aback by its grandeur. The grand staircase, the ornate chandeliers, the sheer opulence – it's like stepping into a dream! It was truly magical to see the iconic venue where some of the world's most celebrated ballerinas have graced the stage.

Of course, no visit to the Opéra is complete without indulging in some delicious pastries in the ornate cafe. My recommendation: the raspberry macarons, they are heavenly!

Second stop: A delightful ballet class at the École de Danse de Paris

As a ballet enthusiast, I simply had to take a class in the home of some of the world’s finest dancers! Stepping into the studios felt like a homecoming, with its rich wooden floors, the beautiful barres and of course the smell of the leather pointe shoes – it is truly a magical space for a ballet-loving girl like me. I had to put on my favourite tutu, of course, and the lovely teachers even complimented my graceful movements! (Let's be honest, they were probably just being nice, but still!)

Shopping and Afternoon Tea at Ladurée

It’s impossible to come to Paris without hitting the boutiques, darling! There's something truly magical about exploring the cobbled streets of Le Marais and discovering hidden gems in vintage shops, with the smell of fresh bread and pastries wafting from the bakeries. I picked up a few treasures - a delicate pink lace scarf and a pair of gorgeous pink suede ballet flats (to wear with my tutu, naturally!).

For a delightful break, I popped into Ladurée, that Parisian institution of all things pink and delightful. The decor is stunning and it’s a place to soak up the Parisian atmosphere and indulge in exquisite cakes.

The perfect pink Parisian picnic

Later, I grabbed a blanket and a basket full of treats (I’m not fussy, even the most mundane grocery store delights taste incredible in Paris!), and enjoyed a leisurely picnic in the Jardin des Tuileries. The park was brimming with families enjoying the beautiful afternoon, and I even caught a performance by a talented street ballerina, dancing her heart out with passion. Watching her move with such grace and joy inspired me even more to spread the pink tutu love, and, well, the best part? I wore my tutu while doing it!

Final Thoughts:

This trip was a complete dream, darling. Paris never ceases to amaze me. The food is amazing, the fashion is beyond chic, and the architecture? Simply breathtaking. It's truly a place where you can be your most fabulous self. And of course, no Paris trip is complete without embracing your inner tutu-wearing ballerina. (It's almost a rule!)

Do I encourage you to don a pink tutu and take a trip to Paris? Absolutely, darling! I promise, you'll have a magnifique time! If I’ve inspired you to start wearing a tutu, do let me know, as it’s my ultimate life goal!

Until next time,

Emma

xXx
