#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post #1044: Paris, My Darling!
Saturday 28th December 2019
Bonjour mes amis!
I'm back in Paris, and this time, my tutu is definitely feeling the love! This city just has that je ne sais quoi - it’s chic, it's romantic, it's full of breathtaking architecture and endless possibilities for fashion inspiration. As I’m writing this, my tulle is billowing in the wind outside the window, and I’m dreaming of all the beautiful Parisian sights and delicious treats I'm going to experience today!
This time I decided to come by Eurostar – it’s always such a magical journey, chugging through the countryside towards the French capital, watching the green fields turn into bustling stations and my heart fluttering with excitement as we enter Paris.
Just thinking about the smell of croissants as I walk through the Gare du Nord always brings a smile to my face. Oh, and you can’t beat that feeling of pure joy when the Eurostar glides into the Gare du Nord station, and everyone cheers and applauds as the train comes to a stop.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again – I have the most magical life! My tutu takes me on such incredible adventures, and I fund them with my ballet performances. I think that’s rather lovely - sharing my passion and turning it into the chance to travel the world and share my experiences with you.
A Fashionable Parisian FrolicAfter checking in at the chicest hotel in the Marais, with a view over the rooftops that's almost too pretty to be real, I donned a particularly splendid hot pink tutu, a creamy cashmere sweater and a vintage pearl necklace (found at a little shop just around the corner – more on that later!)
Paris is a fashion playground, you see, and I love taking a walk and seeing how others embrace their unique style. Whether it's a perfectly curated Parisian with an air of effortless chic, a bohemian student with a playful mix of textures and colours, or a cool Parisian boy with a minimalist sense of style, everyone seems to have this natural confidence. I find it quite inspiring.
Today, I'm going to explore the chic shops and boutiques, searching for more tutu-worthy finds to share with you! And don't worry, I'll be sure to capture it all on camera for you. It's almost time to hit the streets, so follow me as we take a trip to the Marais, the epicentre of Parisian style and fashion!
Lunchtime Treats and a Parisian AfternoonNow, who can resist a baguette from a Parisian boulangerie? The crisp crust, the soft, fluffy insides, slathered with creamy French butter? It's my Parisian weakness, and a delightful lunchtime indulgence.
I love spending afternoons discovering charming little cafés and tea shops – each with their own individual character. Today, I’m planning to explore some hidden Parisian cafes that are a little bit more on the "off the beaten track” side - don't worry, I'll find the perfect little tea room and cafe for my afternoon treat and share it all with you.
Oh, and speaking of hidden gems – I’m looking forward to stumbling across another vintage treasure trove! I already found a cute pair of red leather ballet flats just yesterday. It's amazing what treasures you can discover just by taking a turn down an alleyway or browsing a small market.
A Magical Evening with Parisian LightsTonight, I'm planning to indulge in something a bit different – the magic of a Parisian ballet show. Imagine watching world-class dancers gliding through the air, the costumes, the stories, and the magic of live music filling a grand theatre with the spirit of performance – It's always a memorable and dazzling experience! I’ve already found a stunning performance by the Paris Opera Ballet.
Sharing Parisian InspirationNow, my dears, it’s almost time to say goodbye! But not before sharing a little something to inspire you all:
Today, I’m sharing a secret Parisian recipe for the most delightful vanilla meringue cookies that'll melt in your mouth! These Parisian meringues are perfect with your afternoon tea, coffee, or even just as a little pick-me-up.
More from #PinkTutuBlogParisThat's a wrap for this week, my dear tututists! Make sure to check back next Saturday for a new Paris adventure with even more Parisian fun and, of course, my thoughts on all the fashion discoveries I make!
Until then, remember, my lovelies: Wear pink! Be kind. Stay sassy. And keep dreaming big dreams!
