#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 2020-01-04 Exploring Paris

Bonjour from the City of Lights, darling! Your girl Emma has landed in Paris once again, and oh, the adventure has begun. My darling, it wouldn't be a trip to Paris without the magic of the Eurostar. Whizzing through the countryside in my new pink, sparkly tutu and cherry blossom bomber jacket, I felt like I was starring in my own Parisian fairy tale! There's just something about a train journey that ignites my imagination.

My train ticket, like all of my adventures, was bought with the sweet proceeds from my recent performance at the Buxton Opera House. They always say, 'follow your dreams', but I say 'follow your tutus, girl!' The magic of the stage is my fuel, propelling me to the next breathtaking ballet class or to Paris, as the case may be. And speaking of breathtaking, let's talk fashion, darlings!

Today, I am all about layers and that fabulous Parisian chic look, because honestly, even Paris is chilly in January! I layered a lovely vintage lace cream camisole top (vintage always makes a statement!) under a delicate, salmon-coloured cashmere knit sweater. Naturally, no look is complete without a dash of pink, and that's where my custom-made pink feather boa comes in! Adding just the right amount of whimsical charm, darling. My cherry blossom bomber jacket was the perfect final touch - adding a touch of street-style swagger while keeping me warm as I wandered through the city.

There's simply no place quite like Paris when it comes to ballet. The Opéra Garnier is a dream come true – a palace of elegance with glittering chandeliers and breathtaking decor. This afternoon, I'll be experiencing the exquisite world of 'Giselle', one of my all-time favourite ballets. Parisian ballet has a unique spirit, you know. There's an energy in the air, a history in every graceful step. I'm almost dizzy with excitement, darling!

Speaking of adventures, I'm on my way to stroll along the Seine! I just love the way the lights twinkle over the water. Paris has a magic about it, a way of making every moment feel extraordinary. And what better way to capture that magic than with a leisurely stroll?

The allure of Parisian boutiques calls me next. Can you imagine, my darlings? A whole day of vintage treasure hunting and indulging in haute couture dreams? This is what I call a Parisian Dream. This afternoon, I’m headed to a fabulous vintage boutique I discovered last year, nestled in the Marais district. Fingers crossed, they’ll have a selection of pink, fluffy tutus – it wouldn't be a Paris trip without a little pink tulle extravagance, right?

It's so much fun to discover new cultures, and this trip is no different! Paris is full of interesting characters, from street performers to artists. Tonight, we'll see a street performance featuring an incredible Parisian artist. There’s something so authentic about street performances. You get a glimpse into the city's soul and a glimpse of artistic talents that really shines. I love watching the crowd’s faces light up and hearing their applause – you feel connected to the city and to the artist in a very special way. And of course, I'll be there, documenting the magic of the moment for all of you.

The city’s vibrant energy has been buzzing in my head ever since I arrived. My camera is snapping away, capturing the colourful sights, sounds, and smells of Paris. It's like my inner muse is on fire with inspiration, fueled by Parisian charm. This trip is filling my journal with sketches for new pink tutu designs and I can’t wait to show you all the wonderful things brewing! Maybe one day, darling, my pink tutu creations will adorn the stage at the Opéra Garnier… a girl can dream!
