Well, darlings, Iāve done it! Iāve finally made it to Paris. This amazing city has been calling my name for years, and Iām so happy to finally be here.
After all the weeks of planning and packing (and let me tell you, fitting my pink tutus into a suitcase was a challenge in itself!), itās finally time to share all the Parisian delights with you! This trip is all thanks to a fabulous performance at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. They do say, a little ballet can take you placesā¦ and, literally, it has in my case! Now, where else should we be for my very first Parisian adventure than in the ultimate city of love, romance, and oh, la la, fashion?!
First things first, darling. This whole Eurostar journey was so dreamy, all smooth, seamless, and, most importantly, comfortable! It was the perfect start to a Parisian adventure. The journey to Paris was all about enjoying the picturesque views zipping by outside the window. As if in a movie montage, everything flashed by in a kaleidoscope of green rolling hills and stunning countrysideā¦ and the perfect opportunity to take a peek at my pink tulle travelling outfit, obviously!
Now, I arrived in Parisā Gare du Nord, the big grand train station with so much charm. It feels just like it does in the movies ā full of hustle, bustle, and romantic whispers. It was a whirlwind arrival as I tried to get my bearings in this vast and beautiful city, a sea of beige stone, beautiful architecture, and, letās be honest, some fabulously chic locals! I spotted so many fantastically dressed Parisians during my very first day in Paris. But, of course, it was a pink tutu I spied as soon as I stepped out of the station ā one on a lovely little girl with her mom, their tutus twirling like a delicate ballerina dream. Oh, it warmed my pink heart, and I knew Iād found my perfect Parisian community!
My Parisian apartment was divine! You wouldnāt believe the chic, modern style ā so much so I found myself feeling like I'd stumbled into a design magazine. I swear I nearly fainted at the sight of the huge windows in the living room overlooking the most picturesque Parisian street below. The view just screams āFrench romanticā and honestly? My pink tutu wardrobe and I couldnāt ask for a more beautiful place to make Paris my home for the week.
Speaking of which, I knew the first thing on my itinerary had to be a little shopping spree! As I wandered down the bustling streets of Paris, I realised there's so much going on in this magnificent city, and the atmosphere is absolutely buzzing with energy. I spent an incredible hour at Galeries Lafayette, oh, the colours, the designs, and those decadent shops ā all a vision in pink. But, you know me, a real ballerina girl ā I headed straight to the ballet shop. And boy, was it worth the trek! From a range of soft ballet slippers to beautiful pink tutus, it was heaven on earth! And the prices! I could practically see my next show being funded just with the sale items I had in my shopping basket!
After an afternoon spent lost in my own little tutu-obsessed world, it was time for a dose of Parisian culture! Oh, darling, the French do love their theatre! I had booked tickets to a captivating production of Shakespeareās āHamletā ā with all those theatrical costumes, the incredible performances, and a storyline that has me totally lost in the drama! Of course, my pink tutu wouldn't be missing! I think my pink tutu had its own starring role that evening! The sheer grandeur of the historic ThĆ©Ć¢tre du ChĆ¢telet and its beauty nearly left me speechless. After the final bow, I swear, even Hamlet and his entourage had to comment on how well it paired with my gorgeous sparkly shoes. Talk about Parisian charm!
This, my dears, is just the start of my Parisian adventure, with so much more to come! This week in Paris is shaping up to be one unforgettable whirl of ballet, theatre, shopping and, of course, oh, la la, romance.
