#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post #1070: A Parisian Whirlwind of Pink and Pointe Shoes!

Bonjour mes chƩris! Emma here, back from a whirlwind adventure in the City of Lights. This week, my #PinkTutuBlogParis is bursting with Parisian charm, tutu twirls, and a sprinkle of magic.

Stepping off the EuroStar, my Derbyshire heart did a little pirouette! This time, I was channeling a bit of Belle Ɖpoque, trading my trusty red shoes for a pair of sparkly ballet flats that I simply couldn't resist (more on those later!). Paris always feels like a fairytale. Every cobblestone street, every grand building, every enchanting cafe...it's like stepping into a storybook.

But I'm getting ahead of myself. You know how I love to take you along for the ride, so let me rewind and tell you all about this incredible weekend!

The Pink Tutu's Parisian Debut: Fashion & Frenzy

Arriving in the early hours, I was straight to the hotel for a quick refresh (and a good old fashion twirl in my travelling tutu, of course!). This week, I opted for a luxurious vintage floral dress with a full skirt, the kind that sweeps you into a dreamy Parisian afternoon. A little peek of tulle (naturally!), a cute pink scarf, and a sprinkle of vintage charm ā€“ perfect for exploring.

You know I can't resist a Parisian wardrobe revamp, so my first stop was a charming boutique on the Rue de Rivoli. I found a darling, vintage pink hat with a satin ribbon and an oversized blush-coloured bow, perfect for the photo-ops to come! (You'll be seeing that one on my Instagram feed, darling!). Later, I also snagged a delicate vintage rose-patterned scarf, perfect for adding a touch of elegance to any Parisian ensemble.

Le Bal Classique - The Magic of Paris Ballet

Saturday night was an absolute dream. Imagine: The gilded theatre, the anticipation in the air, the orchestra warming up...and the stage? It was like a canvas waiting to burst with vibrant storytelling and incredible athleticism. You can probably guess what I was there for, right? The Ballet National de Marseille was in town, and their rendition of Giselle was breathtaking. The choreography, the costumes (especially the fairies!), and the captivating performance left me completely speechless!

I was lucky enough to nab a ticket for the show through a dance magazine recommendation - it's amazing what you can find if you're willing to put a little legwork (or pointe work, should I say!) in!

Fashion-Forward Foodie Finds

One of the best things about Paris, besides the tutus, is the food! After my ballet escapades, I had to treat myself to a traditional Parisian dinner at a cosy cafe by the Seine. I fell in love with a flaky pastry filled with creamy cheese and spinach, a perfectly pink macaron with raspberry filling, and the most delicious coffee. (French people do coffee best, itā€™s just a fact!). And naturally, a little glass of roseĢ went down perfectly.

The following day, we embarked on a truly magical adventure, exploring the gardens of Versailles. With the warm sun dappling through the trees, we wandered through the stunning landscape, making mental notes for my next fashion shoot. Then, we enjoyed a delightful picnic amidst the majestic greenery, accompanied by the finest baguette, brie cheese, and of course, a generous portion of French onion soup. This was pure Parisian perfection.

Street Style in the City of Love

This week's blog post wouldnā€™t be complete without a little street style spotlight. Paris is a hotbed of creativity and individuality. Every day, Iā€™m discovering new ways to express my inner pink-tutu girl through fashion! I've seen street dancers with tutus painted on their leggings, Parisian mamas styling their tiny tot's in darling tutus for their outings, and countless creative souls putting their own spin on tutu-inspired fashion. Even the dog walkers are adding a touch of ballerina to their outfits, and Iā€™ve got to say, it looks fabulous!

I always try to channel my inner Parisian by pairing my signature pink tutu with simple outfits and adding quirky accessories. You'll catch me twirling through the city streets in my favourite ballet flats, topped with a beret and a vintage pink cardigan.

And to those who say tutus are just for ballet, I say: think again! Every girl, every woman, deserves to feel a little bit like a ballerina, even if it's just for a day!

Coming Soon - #PinkTutuBlogParis, A Ballerinaā€™s Dream

That's a wrap for this week's Parisian escapades! My next #PinkTutuBlogParis is just around the corner. Iā€™ll be sharing my favourite discoveries: an afternoon in Montmartre with the best view of the Eiffel Tower, a behind-the-scenes peek at a ballet class, and of course, all the fashion finds that have made my heart skip a beat.

Don't forget to follow me on Instagram @pinktutuemma for even more Parisian updates! Remember, darlings, you donā€™t need to be in Paris to embrace your inner ballerina. You can find your own Parisian magic in the most unexpected places, and letā€™s not forget - tutus make the world a more delightful place!

Until next Saturday,

Your Pink Tutu Ballerina,

Emma
