Bonjour from Paris! - Post #1074

Oh la la, darlings! It's Emma here, reporting live from the City of Lights - Paris! This week's adventures are all about chic Parisian style, breathtaking ballet, and a whole lot of pink. So grab a glass of something bubbly (or perhaps a nice pot of tea for you tea lovers!) and settle in, because this week's blog post is gonna be a long one...

The Eurostar – My Favourite Pink Tutu Transportation

Every Saturday, I update my dear blog with adventures, so I had to rush back from my performance in Nottingham on Friday night! Luckily, I always get my ticket in advance and get a comfy first class carriage for the EuroStar to Paris - the journey is always so lovely - I particularly enjoy the beautiful French countryside views!

I wore my beautiful silk floral printed pink dress - it perfectly complements the gorgeous scarlet upholstery of the first class carriages! A girl has to stay true to her brand! Of course, I also slipped on my favourite "Parisian Pink Tutu", a full, blush coloured, three-tiered beauty with layers of tulle. After all, you can never go wrong with a little pink tutu!

Arrival in Paris & My Love of Trains

As the train rolled into the Gare du Nord, the French city I’d dreamt of as a child unfolded in front of me – it was simply breathtaking! It felt like stepping into a beautiful painting.

I love train travel – it allows me to see the world at a slower pace and immerse myself in the beauty around me, and it's so much more civilised and chic than flying. You get to actually talk to people - like this adorable French chap - Jean Claude - who helped me with my luggage!

My Hotel Room – Chic & Elegant

I found a sweet hotel – Le Petit Chatelet, a tiny boutique hotel with charm and grace, nestled in a quiet, tree lined street. They had this wonderful room - the Parisian Princess - a pastel pink and blush toned suite with a fluffy white bed and velvet curtains! Of course, they let me add some extra pink – some fluffy cushions and a beautiful vintage silk scarf, so naturally, I immediately filmed a TikTok of myself twirling and dancing in my pink tutu around my chic, new Parisian sanctuary!

First Stop - The Palais Garnier!

On arrival, after getting my bearings, I took the Metro, feeling a sense of triumph, because you know, "it's not the destination, but the journey" (My Dad always says this) to the stunning, grand, architectural spectacle of The Palais Garnier – home to the Paris Opera!

Fashion Show - Opulence & Romance

To get a taste of the City of Light's fashion, I took a stroll through the beautiful Avenue des Champs-Élysées, the "Most Beautiful Avenue in the World". A fashion haven, it’s home to so many elegant boutiques and the luxurious department store – Galeries Lafayette, with its ornate Art Nouveau glass dome – which was truly magical!

There’s a sense of wonder here - like walking through an open air museum - you could spend a lifetime exploring the shops!

It was wonderful just window shopping, seeing the latest couture designs. A vision in blush pink was in one window, which had me daydreaming of Parisian ballrooms and dancing princes… Oh how I love the romantic charm of Parisian fashion - especially in the summer.

Afternoon Ballet Class - Feeling Feminine!

The one thing that makes my trips extra special is indulging in a French ballet class, I was in ballet heaven! A little studio – “Petite Danse”, run by a lovely woman with a chic bob, I felt transported back to childhood - dancing in my grandma’s living room in Derbyshire!

Even after all the travel and the opulence of Parisian fashion – it is always so wonderful to be dancing - a girl has to do what a girl has to do - keep fit and elegant, and, of course, always wear pink.

Of course, a pink tutu was the only option. It’s the perfect ballet costume for class - not only because it’s incredibly chic but it also allows for effortless movement and twirls – just the kind of pink tutu you need for this elegant art form.

I even posted a couple of “Reels” of me twirling and doing graceful poses - perfect for a girly afternoon in Paris!

Parisian Feast - The Best Soufflé!

Dinner at the beautiful Les Bouquinistes – it is a French-style bistro in the Latin Quarter, with gorgeous, warm and welcoming interior and this fabulous terrace, so charming and quintessentially Parisian! I can’t forget the food! Oh my, my! A feast for my eyes and taste buds – it had to be “Souffle”, and a delicate bottle of Chardonnay - I always order French food when in Paris, it’s like taking a bite out of Parisian culture!

The Best Evening - Théâtre des Champs-Élysées

A performance I had dreamed of for years! To witness an unforgettable evening of ballet! The iconic “Theatre des Champs-Elysees” , home to such ballet legends! I saw the “Paris Opera Ballet" perform “Don Quixote", so enchanting – such powerful choreography! There's a magic about being in a Parisian Theatre and I could have listened to them forever!

Of course, I wore a pink tutu - I feel a certain kind of joy twirling in a Parisian theatre after a wonderful show - it feels so natural and spontaneous.

A Dream Fulfilled – Feeling Inspired!

Every single moment in Paris – from taking a romantic stroll by the Seine, to experiencing a breathtaking ballet - it’s truly magical – like stepping into a fairy tale!

I want to bring a bit of Paris, a bit of glamour and sophistication back home to my beloved Derbyshire. I feel like Paris has ignited a new fire inside of me! My tutu-twirling, fashion and performance days have new meaning, all the while spreading the joy of pink, femininity and joy – It’s all part of my aim to make the world a pinker place - just one tutu at a time.

See you all next Saturday - back from Paris!

Au Revoir and all my love! Emma x
