Well hello my lovely darlings! It's your favourite tutu-clad traveller Emma here, and I'm absolutely bursting with excitement to tell you all about my weekend adventures in the City of Lights – Paris, oh là là!
This time around, I swapped the familiar Derbyshire countryside for the charming streets of Paris, making the journey on the Eurostar, which was, as always, a delight. There’s just something so wonderfully romantic about the thought of hopping on a train, sipping a glass of champagne (okay, maybe a sparkling water for me – keeping that dancer's physique in check!), and waking up in a new city.
I'm staying in the chicest little hotel, complete with a balcony overlooking the most gorgeous cobblestone street. Imagine my delight when I saw a little café on the corner selling delicious pastries, just calling my name! This is the life!
*Paris, I’m ready for you! *
This weekend has been all about soaking up the Parisian atmosphere, a delightful blend of art, fashion, and – of course – ballet! Now, before you think I'm getting carried away with myself, my tutu isn't going to make an appearance everywhere - even though it is seriously tempting, and I did make a special outfit with a sparkly, delicate pink tulle skirt for dinner tonight. 😉
*Ballet – the perfect Parisian Pairing! *
It would be a crime to visit Paris without seeing a ballet, wouldn't it? I'm particularly excited to see the Grand Opera Ballet at the magnificent Palais Garnier. Can you imagine the sheer extravagance? It’s the ultimate treat for the senses. Of course, I've got the perfect outfit planned - my gorgeous rose-gold ballet flats, and a beautiful silk top with a pink sash (matching my tutu of course, although the tutu's going to have to wait for my real ballerina date!).
Speaking of ballet, did I mention I managed to squeeze in a ballet class with the lovely Ballet Studio ? This place is a dream - with high ceilings and stunning chandeliers - talk about the perfect way to get those creative juices flowing.
*Exploring Parisian Chic *
As if that wasn't enough, my whirlwind weekend included a rather delightful exploration of Parisian fashion. Think chic boutiques with decadent window displays, charming independent designers, and all the classic Parisian flair.
And you know what I discovered? The perfect little vintage store tucked away in a charming little alley. And guess what they had? That’s right, you lovely lot! A tutu! It was just calling to me, a delicate pink one with an exquisite embroidered floral pattern, like something straight out of a fairytale. It was simply too perfect to resist!
And what’s Paris without a little stroll along the Seine? We had the most wonderful picnic – you’ll be seeing a delicious foodie post on the blog next week! The sun was shining, and I can tell you that the bread, cheese and wine never tasted so good. It felt like something straight out of a movie, and I had to snap a photo with the Eiffel Tower peeking through in the background – I just couldn't resist the magic!

Of course, no Parisian adventure is complete without a little joie de vivre, and I’m sure you can guess what that means - a touch of Pink Tutu flair to every adventure. Just you wait until you see my Instagram stories!
I’ve been wandering the charming little streets, admiring the architecture, sipping delicious coffee, and absorbing all the vibrant energy that makes this city so unique. There’s something undeniably special about wandering through streets with the sun shining down, feeling the warm breeze on my face. It truly feels like stepping into a fairytale, or maybe even into one of those lovely ballet performances where a ballerina can escape for a little while, swirling and dancing as they explore a dreamlike world of creativity.
